I Reborn Five Years Before the Famine, at Age Four

Yan Shuyun was once a ge'er, doted on by everyone. When he was nine, his family fled a famine. They carried too many belongings, so starving refugees stole their food and killed all ten-plus members of his family. Not one of them survived.

When he opened his eyes again, Yan Shuyun had returned to the age of four. He was now a soft, chubby little child. Seeing his family alive and well, tears rolled down his cheeks.

Everyone's alive! Waaah!

Determined not to let the same tragedy happen again, the little one grabbed the fool from his past life and secretly dug pits to plant crops, working hard to grow food so their family would have something to eat when famine struck five years later!

Things often went missing from the Yan household over the next few years. Sometimes it was farm tools, sometimes pots and pans, sometimes food. Even the kindling knife and stools would disappear now and then.

The whole family stayed on guard, keeping an eye out for thieves, but things still went missing...

The Yan family: Help! Could our house be haunted?

The two little ones, keeping their achievements a secret: ...

Later, famine really did strike. The Yan family watched as the two children pulled out a knife, then another knife, then an iron shovel, and then...

The rest of the Yan family: Why do those things look so familiar?

P.S.

2. A slow-paced slice-of-life story about everyday family matters.

3. The characters' values do not represent the author's own. They're only there to serve the story.

Theme: The brave and hardworking are always more likely to find favor.
