Brocade Craft Heir x Natural-Born Dancer
Childhood friends x 2 | Reunited after years apart | Mutual healing | Unrequited love comes true
[This one needs a long, long time to plan out, so updates will come whenever I feel like it!]
When Yu Ying quit the city dance troupe and returned to her village, the first person she saw was Yu Wan.
She had grown much thinner. Sitting at her loom, she looked serene, her features not much changed from five years ago.
They looked at each other without a word.
Yu Ying knew Yu Wan resented her for staying out of touch for so many years, but she didn't know how to explain.
They had grown up together, and Yu Ying had danced every one of her routines for Yu Wan.
Back then, the two little girls would curl up under the same quilt and dream about their bright future.
"Our Yu Ying is going to be famous from one end of the country to the other!"
Yu Ying hadn't become famous across the country. Instead, she and Yu Wan had grown so distant.
After settling in the village, Yu Ying went to Yu Wan's house every day, either bringing food or freeloading a meal. Sometimes, she even stayed the night.
At last, Yu Wan couldn't take it anymore. "Yu Ying, how long are you going to keep staying at my house?"
Yu Ying leaned against her chest pitifully, eyes red. "We were closer than anyone growing up. Could you really bear to kick me out?"
Yu Wan's heart softened, and all she could do was sigh helplessly.
But could someone please explain why her childhood friend had ended up sharing a bed with her one day?
Reading notes:
1. There are lots of people named Xiao Yu in the story, and the two female leads are not biological sisters.
2. I've done some research and consulted friends about local customs and traditions. If anything is missing or inaccurate, please point it out and I'll revise it.
Theme: Passed down from generation to generation.
When will the next chapter be updated? [Covering face and peeking]
