Before a blind date, Gu Jue had a dream. She was a scumbag Alpha.

The scumbag Alpha loved the female Omega lead but could never have her. The woman was already engaged, and she and the scumbag Alpha had no future together.

Fortunately, Wen You resembled the female Omega lead in some ways. When the scumbag Alpha went on a blind date with Wen You, she agreed to the marriage.

Not long after the wedding, Wen You discovered she was a substitute. The scumbag Alpha not only refused to change, but flew into a rage and abused Wen You. She also deliberately spent night after night out carousing while Wen You was in heat, leaving Wen You with a permanently damaged gland.

Once she gained power, the fiery Wen You tied up the scumbag Alpha, cut out her gland, and fed it to wild dogs right in front of her. She angered the scumbag Alpha to death, and in the end, Wen You met a tragic fate too.

The first time Gu Jue saw Wen You, she knew she had fallen in love at first sight. She liked her so much that every one of her tentacles trembled.

As Gu Jue held back her tentacles from reaching for Wen You, she went ahead with the wedding.

Wen You found married life passable. Gu Jue did give her plenty of support, helping her rise to a position of power sooner.

The only thing she wasn't satisfied with was Gu Jue's pathological obsession with her, which made her insatiable in bed.

But even that wasn't enough for Wen You. Through an acquaintance, she obtained a statue of a god.

Pray to it every day, and your wishes will come true. She had no idea who was listening to her prayers.

Until one day, unable to bear Gu Jue's erratic behavior any longer, Wen You made a wish before the statue.

"I wish Gu Jue would divorce me. No, she won't let me go that easily. I wish she'd just die," Wen You murmured.

But this time, the god who had always answered her prayers didn't respond. Gu Jue was still alive and well.

And still insatiable in bed every night.

Wen You made one wish after another, raising the stakes in the hope of getting a response from the god.

Gu Jue's voice came from behind her, almost a sigh. "Youyou, that's a hard wish for me to grant. I'm immortal."

Wen You was shocked.

In the end, Gu Jue really did die in front of Wen You.

While being pursued by her enemies, Gu Jue pushed Wen You out of the car, then plunged into the deep sea with it.

A month passed with no sign of her, and no body was ever found. With no other choice, Wen You held a funeral for Gu Jue. She wore a black dress and a veil in the mourning hall.

Everyone said Wen You had truly fallen for her and was heartbroken.

Only Wen You knew how happily she was smiling beneath her veil.

Gu Jue is dead!

No one will ever grope me while I'm reading documents again!

That night, while she kept vigil, someone drenched from head to toe pushed open the door.

The person who swept her into their arms and soothed her was none other than Gu Jue. Her familiar storm-and-sea pheromones filled the air, dragging Wen You into a storm of heat.

"Youyou, I told you a long time ago that I can't die. Did you miss me?"

Gu Jue was back.

Later, Wen You discovered that Gu Jue really couldn't die :)
