Meng Wan, who has no golden finger, caused the deaths of her parents and elder brother through her own mistake, though in truth it was all fate's doing. So she resolves to take revenge.
Her path to vengeance seems clear and easy, until a sickly young lord from the Marquis's household appears out of nowhere.
The young lord is gentle and perceptive. "Miss, the people who killed your family answer to someone even more powerful. What's the point of killing just the executioner?"
