The Cat Wants to Rule the World

Taigo was a Bengal tiger, 3.1 meters long, once the tiger with the largest territory in his homeland.

But now he has been reborn as a tiny kitten, black as a lump of coal.

His legs are so short that even climbing up to lick water from a saucer is hard. He's so small he could fit inside one.

But Taigo's ambition will never stop! He will still become king of the territory!

A young police officer from Bludhaven crouched beside the saucer, watching Taigo lap furiously at the water and fretting endlessly.

Why does Taigo have to go and smack every Great Dane he sees? Does he even know he's a Munchkin cat with legs so short he's not as big as a Great Dane's head?

Taigo doesn't know. Taigo firmly believes that if he eats more, sleeps more, and fights more, he'll eventually reclaim the throne.

At eight weeks old, his baby teeth had all come in, and the officer's sofa was the first casualty.

At four months old, he ruled the whole territory. There wasn't a single thing in the officer's home he hadn't beaten up.

At seven months old, he could already secretly assassinate his human!

The officer: Wait, wait, is this right?

At one year old, the grown Taigo finally set foot in Gotham, a territory destined to be conquered by him.

Then he set his sights on even more distant lands: Metropolis, the ocean, the multiverse...

His humans came and went, from a giant black cat to a strange bald man. The only thing that never changed was Taigo's ambition: the tiger will rule the world!

"..." His various humans watched with complicated expressions as the coal-black cat, not even as long as a forearm, strapped on mechanical wings and fought villains to the death, cat fur flying everywhere.

"...Whose fault is this, exactly? Who raised the cat like this?"

"It's not my fault. I only gave him a little help, like surgery."

"I gave him the ocean's blessing..."

"A little magic..."

"A Green Lantern ring."

"A little miracle."

His first human: "..."

Thanks a lot. I sent the kid out to learn how to act like a cat, and now he's become an all-terrain, all-air, Meow-tian. I really should have raised him myself!

1. HE. A cat is a cat, and will never turn into a human.

2. Superhero crossover, middle-aged angel-and-demon romance (?), handsome-faced detective and pretty military doctor (?), 007, my own timeline.
