By a twist of fate, he adopted an ugly cat.

But the girl who had given him the cat was cute and pretty, and she messaged him every other day.
At first:
“Hello, do you have time to take some pictures of the kitty?”
“You’ve been getting the kitten vaccinated on schedule, right?”
Later:
“Um, could I treat you to dinner...?”
