Book Transmigration: An International Student Playing It Safe

**Thanks for asking. I’m in Italy, and I almost got dumped in the sea.** No, but seriously, who else has a story more ridiculous than mine? On the very first day after I transmigrated into a book, I walked straight into a Mafia execution. And the reason the male lead was supposed to dump me in the sea in the original novel was “stealing the heroine,” but I hadn’t even met her. I just took a shortcut and got lost??? (Anonymous reply: Someone in the comments asked why I didn’t run. Dude, six armed men had me surrounded. Where was I supposed to run? Crawl through the air ducts? I’m not Pierce Brosnan.) Everything in this story takes place in a fictional version of Italy after transmigration into a book. It has nothing to do with the real world. PS: A goofy, illogical, nonsensical story full of stereotypes, written with my brain switched off (please donate your brains before reading). First-person narration. All professional knowledge mentioned comes from internet searches. The author is neither a professional nor a linguist, and is just writing for fun. No unsolicited writing advice!
