Flirtatious but self-aware, and physically fragile x emotionally oblivious powerhouse
Li Changsui died young in his previous life. When he opened his eyes again, the good news was that he was alive.
The bad news: he'd transmigrated into someone with the same frail body as before.
He comforted himself by setting off on the path of cultivation. But before he could even join a sect, he got worse news: he'd transmigrated into a minor character in a certain unmentionable kind of novel.
It made him laugh with exasperation, but there was nothing he could do. He'd live as long as he could, and he valued his life dearly.
After years in the cultivation world, he could easily write a book called How a Frail, Sickly Person Survives in the Cultivation World. The secret, of course, could be summed up in one word: keep your head down.
When danger comes, put a teammate in front of you, and make sure there's one behind you too, or things might go wrong. Other geniuses think, "We have a thirty percent chance of winning this fight." Li Changsui thinks, "Should I run, or stay here and die?" His skin is too thin to withstand life's storms.
But one day, he discovers that his skin may be thin, but he never actually dies. A sliver of health keeps him alive? Then the whole story takes a turn.
The senior brother responsible for managing his health has a complete meltdown. His previously easygoing junior brother comes back from every mission with barely a breath left!
When Li Changsui first enters the cultivation world, he "finds" a "stray" fluffy creature on the road. Before he can celebrate, he realizes something is off about it.
Whose fluffy creature goes around saying, "I'll kill you"?
With his life ticking away, Li Changsui takes it in stride, petting the fluff absentmindedly. "Sure, sure. Kill me, then."
Chen Qing has lived too long. He's spent ages wanting to die, only to meet a sickly man who cherishes his life. The man is a welcome distraction from his dull existence.
He can see whether Li Changsui will live or die at a glance, and at first, he doesn't care.
Until the day really comes. Then he can't bear to let him go.

P.S.:
1. The protagonist is a true genius, but this isn't a wish-fulfillment story. The cultivation world is full of my own invented elements.
2. This is an older man-younger man romance with a huge age gap. Chen Qing has lived for a very, very long time.
3. The characters aren't perfect. The genius needs to venture out and grow. The romance develops over time, and there are no secondary couples in the main story.
4. No baiting or inflammatory arguments, no switching or reversing the CP, and no other character-swapping behavior. The setting serves the plot. The story is fictional and has no real-life inspiration. No need to tell me if you drop it.
Theme: Life is precious, yet lightly held.
