Provisional synopsis. An alternate-universe story for Welcome to the Great Route Death RPG. RPG base-building and farming, One Piece mixed with Touken Ranbu. You can enjoy this story even if you haven't read the other works.
You open the game [Infinite! Great Route].
You hear that choosing this starting skill lets you become an emperor, so you click [Say Goodnight in the Honmaru].
The System throws you a pile of beginner's gift packs and tells you: These are your swords... er, your starting retainers.
You stare at the pile of coal and iron blocks.
Player: Swords? Smithing swords?
All the retainers are sword spirits... Wait, I have to make them by hand myself?!
Luckily, you have a starter sword. Starting from scratch, you steadily work on farming and building your base, determined to establish your own prosperous island.
Honmaru? Build one.
Sword forging? Learn it.
Fields? Get to it.
Island? Expand it.
Stables? Why is it a fleet of ships? Oh well, build it.
What's this? Set out on an expedition? Click. Click again.
Many years later, looking at the Honmaru you had painstakingly raised from the ground up, now flourishing and prosperous, you couldn't help wiping away a tear.
What pirates? Never heard of them.
The Marines? The Revolutionary Army? Don't know them.
You're saying we're a massive new power on the seas? A terrifying overlord dominating the region?
Hahahaha, don't be ridiculous. The player is just doing a little base-building... Wait, when did you build an entire country?!
Uh, what do you mean by advising the lord to take a large harem, with recommended candidates including the Red-Haired Emperor, Fire Fist, Phoenix, and several of the Seven Warlords...
Wait, why is there an option to marry into the Celestial Dragons? Doesn't that Celestial Dragon look exactly like the red-haired guy from earlier?!
What do you mean I can take them all at once? Whose old monk is this???
Main focus: base-building, relationships, and farming, with plenty of lively love triangles.
I firmly stand by having one Honmaru per person. If you can't accept that, please steer clear of this story.
I might start writing this if the main story gets a good response or this one gets enough preorders!
Theme: Don't abandon the heart you started with.
