Welcome to the Grand Line Death RPG

What is [death]?

For ordinary players, it just means restarting at the most recent save point.

For you, death = getting stronger.

[Congratulations, you have obtained the skill: Sit-Up]

Skill description: Get back up right where you fall! Every time a player’s HP hits zero, any attribute can be doubled.

(Note: This System does not support any deliberate self-destructive behavior. Please cherish yourself and enjoy the game!)

And so, a player devoted to maximizing her stats set out on an endless quest to find all sorts of reasonable ways to drain her health in the game, including but not limited to:

Sneaking poisonous mushrooms into the communal stew, poisoning all the nearby NPCs, then asking in confusion, “Why aren’t I dead yet?”

Hearing that you can only eat one Devil Fruit, then snatching other people’s fruit and crunching them like seeds. When it doesn’t work, asking in disappointment, “That’s it?”

Trying to raise your bounty and increase your monster-spawn rate by announcing in public that you’ll overthrow the Celestial Dragons, only to end up with a whole crowd of followers. All you can do is beg, “Please leave me alone.”

You: I just want to raise my stats.

Some people: She’s been provoking us this whole time.

A few others: Am I supposed to die too? Me?

They say that at the farthest reaches of the Grand Line lies a mysterious island, shrouded in mist all year round.

The island holds endless riches and a secret that could drive the entire world mad. It is dangerous, eerie, and irresistible to those who hear of it.

The [Undying] Witch languishes day after day on her lofty throne, sighing from the top of the world:

[This useless world is so dull that even the idea of someone ‘killing me’ is nothing but a fantasy.]

She sends a declaration to the world:

Come, do your best to defeat me.

Whoever can take my life, whoever can bring death to the [Undying],

will inherit the [Undying] and possess the entire “world.”

“…”

“Why do you have to keep following me?”

You look earnestly at the huge crowd of men clinging to you, impossible to shake off, and ask.

“Obviously, we’re here to serve the ‘world’ and carry out the [Undying]’s grand plan!”

everyone says in unison.

Mm, that’s right.

Exactly.

* An unconventional progression story + a vast, high-freedom open-world ARPG + a little management. The tone is light and funny, with occasional serious moments.

* Second-person romance for women, with an even split between romance and plot. The bonus chapters have different endings.

* The golden finger is ridiculously powerful.

"Content warnings"

* Lots of love interests. The romance officially begins after the heroine comes of age. The original idea was to get her together with men; at heart, this is a silly romance for women with little concern for rigorous logic.

* Slow-burn. The story moves at a steady, leisurely pace, with plenty of daily life and romance. If that’s not for you, please click away.

❗ *This is not a female-power fantasy. Don’t read it as a story about an all-conquering heroine. It’s also not a brainless, fast-paced, everyone-loves-her story. If you’re impatient, this may not be for you.

* Contains all sorts of references, lots of niche jokes, and plenty of absurd comedy. There isn’t much of the Fourth Calamity trope. She thinks purely like a player, keeps getting herself killed, and dies over and over. She’s an unlucky, easygoing little mischief-maker who does whatever she wants.

* Everyone has their own interpretation of the characters. If you feel they’re out of character, please stop reading. The timeline outline for this story was finalized through March 2026, so please don’t complain about it using information from the future.

Special notes:

* Some parts of the original story have been slightly adjusted for the sake of the plot, and the setting and timeline have been heavily altered. Please don’t get hung up on fidelity to the original or debate power levels here.

* The story moves very slowly. If you can’t get into it, feel free to leave. Comments may be moderated as needed. People who come looking for trouble will be banned, as will those who ignore the content warnings.

* Unkind comments and unsolicited writing advice will be ignored. Please also respect the original characters. The plot is complete, and I’m not responsible for doubts caused by skipping chapters.

Theme: Cherish life, starting with yourself.
