“He is the only lonely city in the rest of my life, and I will plant an age of prosperity for him with my own hands.”

Feng Ze, once the Federation’s sharpest Metal-type War God, held back a tide of ten thousand mutants with nothing but himself and his blade. Yet when he was gravely wounded and near death, the powerful cast him aside like trash.

He dragged his broken body to Dead City No. 104, a place no one dared enter, intending to quietly rot among the ruins.

Until one day, Qi Minsen, a top-tier Wood-type King who arrived travel-worn and dust-covered, brought with him a primordial green seed capable of driving the wasteland into a frenzy. He knelt humbly beneath Feng Ze’s cold blade.

“Lord, will you take me in? I’m very useful. I can cleanse toxins, cultivate seeds, and… heal your wounds.”

Feng Ze thought he was just a little wolf pup he had once saved, one who understood a bit of gratitude.

So the two worked side by side, rerouting waterways and building defenses, creating a miraculous oasis in this desolate place.

It was only on the day the fifth ring of fortifications was completed, when a sense of confinement spread from the vines beneath his feet to his whole body, that Feng Ze suddenly realized:

This youth, gentle as jade in his presence and trembling even at the thought of killing, had been plotting in secret for eight years. He had imprisoned Feng Ze, along with the entire city, in a cage of vines called “love.”

Core theme: You are my divinity, and I am the rest of your life.
