Making Criminal Investigation Great Again [Studying in the US]

[I Will Definitely Launch This Year]

What is it like to transmigrate into the body of a law student studying abroad?

Xie Xinjian: Thanks for asking. I woke up in America, my family had gone bankrupt, my parents had run off, finals were in two weeks, and I hadn't passed the CET-4.

The good news is that my kind landlord, seeing I couldn't afford the rent, got me a part-time job at his detective agency to work off my debt.

The bad news is that the agency's main business is catching cheating spouses, taking hidden photos, finding dogs, and helping undocumented immigrants who only speak Spanish recover unpaid wages. It doesn't look like the business will last long, either.

Things changed when I took on a client who wanted to investigate her husband's affair. She was worked up, waving around her husband's thong with a hole in it and shouting that the bastard had to be sleeping with his male boss, since he was letting himself get topped.

Awkwardly, I went to stop her, but the moment I touched it, I saw a man sneaking around and hiding under a bed in my mind.

And the man didn't look like either the husband or the boss in the photos the client had provided.

#How did an affair turn into a case of unlawful entry?

#Wait, why can I see this?

#Do I have a crime-solving golden finger?

#I need a raise. Give me a raise! I'll show my boss who's the agency's top detective!

Reader's guide:

1. This isn't a conventional crime procedural. The female lead's golden finger is still extremely powerful, and the investigations probably won't involve very traditional, rigorous detective work.

2. I'm really working on the manuscript already. If this doesn't launch this year, I'll do a handstand for my editor.

3. I'll add more when I think of it.
