[Blurb]
The snow on the battlefield was red.
When you dragged him out from beneath the dead, his leg was broken, and blood from the wound on his forehead covered half his face. The three enemies surrounding him were already down. Five paces away stood another Uchiha, his three tomoe spinning.
You didn’t think it through. You just grabbed him by the collar and dragged him backward.
Later, he said, “Live.”
Just one word, but you understood.
Live, and make it back.
Live, and bring each other home.
Live, and don’t die in this cursed snow.
For those seven days, the snow was red, and the world was only as big as the two of you. No Senju, no Uchiha, no hatred, no war. Just him, and you.
Those were the happiest days of your lives, even though you were on the run.
After seven days, you returned to the world of the living. He was Senju Tobirama, Hashirama’s younger brother, a hero of the Senju. You were just a peripheral clan member with no bloodline, no connections, and no parents.
The clan called you “Lone Wolf.”
He said, “Her name isn’t Lone Wolf.”
He melted down his own sword, reforged it to the perfect weight for you, placed it on the table, and said, “Keep it.”
You did, and never let it leave your side for the rest of your life.
Then Konoha was built. Then Madara left. Then Hashirama died. Then war came. Then he used a forbidden technique to give you half of his life.
“Now you owe me,” he said.
The day he left was quiet, as if he had simply fallen asleep. You didn’t cry. You lived for him, watching over Konoha, the school he built, the institutions he established, the people he saved, and the scrolls he left behind, watching them blossom one by one.
He never got to see this day.
But you were alive, so you did.
Those seven days were your whole lives.
And you spent your whole life living by the two words he had spoken.
“Live.”
[Reader’s Guide]
· Pairing: Senju Tobirama × You
· Tags: Naruto / Warring States Period / Serious Drama / Romance / Happy Ending
· One-line synopsis: Those seven days were your whole lives
· Theme: Amid the ruins of war, someone spends a lifetime keeping an unspoken promise
Reader’s Notes:
1. The heroine’s perspective, in second person. “You” are you; you have no name, so feel free to identify with the character or not.
2. The timeline has been adjusted. Tobirama does not hide the bodies, Madara dies at the Valley of the End, and Hashirama and Mito get married. This is a short story, expected to be around ten chapters.
3. Tobirama is not idealized. He is simply someone who did everything he could.
4. The ending can be considered a happy one: “Live” is the best possible ending.
Theme: I was inspired by the founding generation and wanted to write this story.
Every time the janitor's ears turn red, he feels a little cute.
OMG this is so well written. . . Am I actually the first to comment? . The jj streaming mechanism is working hard. The author is awesome! I will wait for you to come back in this pit 🤩 🤩
