Your name is Andre Gide, and you were born in France. You received an excellent education all your life, and the money your parents left you ensured you'd never have to worry about food or clothing.
Your life should have been uneventful. At most, you might skip university but earn a doctorate in literature from Oxford. At most, you might win a Nobel Prize. But during your school years, the author you admired most left France. Rumor had it he'd gone to Yokohama.
But he never came back.
You felt sorrow, lamenting the circumstances that had forced him to stop writing. Grief-stricken, you decided to promote his work once you became famous.
You had no worries in life and dreamed of traveling around the world, but Europeans seemed to run into trouble easily on Japanese soil. You decided to stay away from the place for the time being.
While you were busy preparing and writing, your most, most, most, most, most, most favorite author ran away, taking his favorite author and the author most loved by Russians with him. You heard they'd gone to Yokohama, too. Another American author you liked also ran off, and you'd heard he'd gone to Yokohama as well.
None of them came back, either.
The repeated disappearances of ability users caused a stir in Europe. The European authorities issued warnings to every country, and even the mysterious Clock Tower sounded the alarm for the public. You were curious, and had no idea why the authors you liked kept meeting with disaster, but you had no intention of going to Yokohama.
You still had books to write. Writing was your life's pursuit. You were willing to give everything for it, and you could afford to wait.
Then you got the Book and memories from other worlds.
You: ...
Do you really have to go to Yokohama?!
