The Brewery NPC Who Won't Kill Anyone Just Wants to Go Home

I'm mainly updating my other story, "When Oda Sakunosuke Joins the Police Academy." This one will be updated slowly. The author is writing no-CP, but readers can interpret it however they like. Some characters are based on real-life authors, with added fictional elements. Please keep that in mind.

Unexpectedly, Oda Sakunosuke is brought back to life.

He opens his eyes in confusion, and the System tells him that if he can complete his missions, he can revive the curry shop owner and the five children.

"Reviving one child costs one-fifth the points needed to revive an adult, and one person can hold enough points to revive at most two adults. You were supposed to choose one adult or five children, but we're currently running a group deal, so we applied for the extra slots on your behalf."

Oda: "..." Is this System way too casual about things?

But either way, this works in his favor, and that's enough, isn't it?

Amuro Toru has recently met someone unbelievable. The other person is a high school student at Teitan Middle School, yet he saved Amuro's two classmates who were defusing a bomb and managed to keep undercover agent Morofushi Hiromitsu from being exposed.

And yet he is also a codename-holding member of the Organization.

He is calm and steady, with a maturity and kindness far beyond his years. Even though he lives in the darkest depths of the mire, time and again he brings them the light.

But the day the Organization falls, he never comes back.

The day Akai Shuichi's cover is blown, he thinks he's about to die. But someone by Gin's side helps him escape.

Once the danger has passed, Akai Shuichi silently remembers this kindness. He thinks that once everything is over, he will thank him properly, as Akai Shuichi.

He believes they will meet again.

He believes that when the Organization falls and sunlight finally drives away the darkness, they will be able to stand beneath the same clear sky, with nothing left to hide and no need to keep up their disguises.

But in the end, he never gets that chance.

The fire that destroys the Black Organization lights up half the Tokyo night sky. Explosions, collapsing buildings, gunshots, and screams merge into a chaotic din. Everyone is evacuating, except that ever-silent, gentle figure, who heads straight toward the deepest part of the inferno.

No one knows what he went there to do. No one ever sees him come back out.

Oda Sakunosuke: "...You mean all these people, all these people, and all these people are undercover agents?"

System: "...At least, that's how it's gone in the cases I've seen."

Oda: "..." With this many undercover agents, do they really need him?

He glances back at Gin, who is still saying, "I can smell a rat," and thinks, "As expected of Gin. How does he not get sinusitis from all this?"

No CP, very slice-of-life, still a pure fluff story with barely any plot. There may be one-sided affection, and misunderstandings are possible.

P.S. The three adults being revived are Oda, the curry shop owner, and the boss Dazai. Later on, Oda will transmigrate into the alternate timeline and save the boss Dazai.
