A rookie PhD student, her mind addled by a temporal rift, is stranded in another world. After her unusual talent is discovered, she's tricked into working at a shady research institute, pulling all-nighters every day.
She even works diligently there until adulthood, when an accident restores her memories.

The young PhD, barely alive on the inside, looks at the frightened, exhausted eyes of the children captured as test subjects, and her conscience aches.
She resolutely decides to take down her own employer for the greater good.
In the light of the explosion, Hui thinks she's about to die. In a daze, she feels her soul react with the all-metal substance she'd just invented.
She becomes a lab mouse.
Hui: ?
The filthy little creature crawls out of the rubble and rolls several times before stopping. The first thing she does is paw at her own golden fur, wondering to herself if it even counts as white.
The PhD, now a mouse, is pondering where to go in the snowstorm when several figures quietly approach. She doesn't notice them.
Hui looks up and meets a pair of mesmerizing, mismatched eyes.
"Oh? Where did this little thing come from?"
Oh no... I'm doomed...
After fake-crying for a while, the little mouse looks at the boy's gloomy expression and the gentleness of his touch, then blinks.
Huh? Maybe I'm not quite so doomed?
After spending some time together...
Hui, kept as a pet despite the boy's protests, curls up on the sofa and rolls over. At last, she has a life where food and drink are taken care of.
So this is how great it is to be a little animal. Hui, who has been working overtime since she was six, thinks to herself, having never had a day off until now.

1. Mainly a platonic relationship story, set primarily in the Katekyo Hitman Reborn world. The heroine comes from the future world of Doraemon and is a genius researcher of amazing gadgets.
2. The heroine spends a long time in animal form and occasionally works as a servant. The main story is mostly told while she's an animal. She can transform into various forms, but not for long.
3. The heroine researches gene sequences. A white mouse gets upgraded into a golden hamster, the kind that really brings in wealth and good fortune. The box weapons are about to meet their strictest mother (thumbs up). A heads-up to anyone hoping for the box weapons to get upgraded.
4. Lots of everyday-life scenes, with a light, humorous tone. May the Mouse Kingdom protect us.
