Synopsis
[Blurb]
Hua Jiran transmigrates into a novel with a female-dominant world, where she becomes a fake princess who constantly opposes the heroine and steals her men.
To change her fate, she has no choice but to make herself a real princess, plotting every which way to get her biological father onto the throne as the imperial consort.
But then an imperial decree arrives, arranging her marriage. Any princess who reaches eighteen without a career will be assigned seven husbands.
Hua Jiran is in despair. She's a devoted romantic who has never even touched a man's hand, and she simply can't cope with a world whose plot is steadily going off the rails.
To survive, she has to return to her old trade: writing for money, publishing newspapers to shape public opinion, and building a thriving career by winning verbal battles.
She discovers that this world is culturally impoverished, and its entertainment industry is just as barren.
The romance in stories here isn't just underdeveloped. It's practically nonexistent.
Hua Jiran: What will you people, who only know how to churn out smut, do when I bring out my pure-love novels?
Hua Jiran immediately grabs a writing brush and gets to work.

Hua Jiran's sensational titles send her bookshop's popularity soaring and bring countless taxes into the national treasury.
Her career gradually stabilizes, and at last she escapes the fate of being a baby-making tool. But everyone sees themselves in her books and keeps pushing her higher and higher.
All sorts of handsome men come flocking to her.
The refined and easygoing scholar treasures her signed book: "A brushstroke from the Lady, a flower among immortals. If you have feelings for me, why not take me as your consort?"
The sociable butterfly, reformed for her sake, greets her at the inn: "When I turn around, there you are, beneath the dim lights. I only wish the Lady would look back and see me."
The most esteemed young lord of a powerful house lowers his eyes and invites her out: "The spring breeze is growing warm, and the peach blossoms in the countryside are in full bloom."
The carefree wanderer of the martial world rides a thousand miles to offer her a peach blossom: "Under the bright lanterns and the full moon, amid the cold snow atop Zhongnan Mountain, only the first peach blossom to bloom is worthy of you."
The white-haired, icy national preceptor bends for her and paints on her body: "I want to carve you into my bones and blood, so we'll be together forever, every moment of every day."
The great demon of the Black Sea willingly imprisons himself in the palace for her: "I'll be waiting for you to devour me eighteen ways from Sunday."
The immortal gives up eternal life just to have her look back at him once more: "If you weren't in this world, what use would immortality be?"
Note:
The heroine only wants to build her career, not fall in love. In the end, she lucks into becoming empress. The romance may seem normal, but it's actually completely unhinged.
Theme: It's never too late to do what you want.
