He Fought and Scrambled His Way to the Top

After Huayun Jin got dumped, she impulsively married a handsome man.

After they married, she kept running into him being bullied.

How could anyone bully her man?

So she stepped in to save the handsome man, and, unable to leave him behind, brought the stray puppy home too.

After they started living together, she kept catching him accidentally getting his clothes wet and showing off his abs. Soon, even her dreams were full of him crying as she pinned him down and bullied him.

She realized she was falling for him.

But the man she'd been secretly in love with regretted things and began pursuing her like crazy.

Her actual husband wasn't having it.

He bared his fangs. "I went to all that trouble to get her. Why should I give her up?"

The male lead's perspective:

He used to be destitute and helpless. When he wept because he couldn't afford his mother's medical bills, Huayun Jin gave him a donation out of kindness.

Grateful to her, he began paying attention to everything she did. He watched her go further and further, and quietly collected everything related to her: books, scripts, autographs, and every news story.

He was dark and miserable, consumed by self-loathing. He kept his feelings under control and secretly tucked Huayun Jin away in his heart.

Years later, when he was once again in a sorry state, he met Huayun Jin again, and she saved him once more.

His suppressed love had nowhere to go. He craved her tenderness, was intoxicated by her scent, and humbly dreamed of possessing her body and soul.

He would give everything he had just to win her heart.

When she got dumped, he thought he could take advantage of the opportunity. He never expected her to suggest a spur-of-the-moment marriage. Of course he said yes.
