Tricked by My Childhood Friend, the Movie Emperor, into Playing His Wife

Yin Yazhi and Yao Linling grew up together in the same courtyard.

One is a top-tier star and award-winning actor who won all three major acting awards before turning thirty, widely recognized in the industry as a textbook example of great acting.

The other is a beloved national singer with tens of millions of fans, a sweet, guileless soul nicknamed “the little sweet bean of the world.” The only thing he has an inexplicable obsession with is acting.

Unfortunately, that obsession has met with his disastrous acting skills.

After one failed audition after another, word spread through the industry that his acting was worse than AI's. Yao Linling would cling to Yin Yazhi's arm every day and complain that there was no place for him in the entertainment industry.

Yin Yazhi suggested, “Next time someone asks you to sing an OST, have them give you a role too.”

Yao Linling's eyes lit up. He hadn't expected an opportunity to come so quickly. Just three days later, someone came to see him.

Yao Linling boldly told the producer, “I might let you use my song, but give me a role. I... I can do it for free!”

The production team lit up, then pretended to be in a difficult position. “We're serious about this. I'll do my best to make it happen!”

Yao Linling had prepared himself for rejection. He was about to offer a polite response when he swallowed his words.

Who could have imagined the script would arrive that very day? The producer was so reliable, he'd even secured Yao Linling a lead role!

Yao Linling hurried over to Yin Yazhi to share the good news, but Yin Yazhi looked awkward when he heard. “So you're the other lead...”

Yao Linling froze. “What do you mean? Could it be...?”

Yin Yazhi blinked. Yao Linling instantly jumped up and threw his arms around Yin Yazhi's. “So you can teach me how to act! And the other lead won't hate me!”

Yin Yazhi smiled. “That's right. √”

A few days later

Silly, sweet Yao Linling: “Wait, why does this drama have a kissing scene?!”

Yin Yazhi: “It's a BL drama. Did you agree to do it without reading the script?”

Yao Linling: “Aaaah! How could an award-winning actor like you take on this kind of filthy thing?!”

Yin Yazhi: “Take a guess.”
