Pei Su lowered his head, his lips almost touching her ear. His voice was hoarse. "Break up with him."

"Yingying, are you in there?" Fu Ze's voice drew closer.

"Say it." Pei Su's gaze shifted to her lips, and he pressed down hard. Tears gathered at the corners of Mingying's eyes as she whimpered, but his hand kept wandering. "If you don't, he'll come in and catch us..."

Mingying was forced to speak, her voice trembling. "Fu Ze... let's break up."

Fu Ze's hand rested on the doorknob. "Yingying?"

Mingying practically screamed, "Don't come in! I want to be alone for a while."

There was silence outside for a few seconds. The dorm head's voice came from the other end of the stairwell, and at last Fu Ze's footsteps faded away.

Mingying's legs felt weak. She slid down the wall, but Pei Su caught her and pulled her upright, making her lean against him as he pressed in on her.

The lights in the emergency stairwell flickered. Pei Su kissed Mingying again, sighing as if in admiration. "Such a good girl, Yingying."
