--Blurb for this story, 2026.3.18 (tentative)
Mizusawa Seimin is a guy who can't get through a day without his lucky charm.
According to him, if he goes without his lucky charm, he'll have terrible luck that day. As for what kind of bad luck might befall him...
--The red-haired boy chewing bubble gum waved a hand, indicating he had no idea.
Anyway, it wouldn't be a minor mishap like getting instant noodles with no seasoning packet or choking on water.
--Mizusawa Seimin held a peanut the size of his thumb in his right hand and covered his chest with his left, speaking with a pained expression.

The Rikkai University High School tennis club is the ultimate boss every other school wants to defeat.
On the court, their powerful, cold-blooded figures catch everyone's eye. Yet even this team worries about the same question every day.
The tennis club's daily question: What is Mizusawa's lucky charm today? Is the vice captain's voice all right?
--Don't get it? Then watch this little video provided by Mr. Fox.
[The image wobbles, and the camera points toward the side of the court.
Sanada frowns at the person across from him. "Mizusawa, what are you holding?"
Mizusawa cheerfully raises the thing in his hands: a little green snake, as thick as his thumb, coiled twice around his palm, its tail tip gently swaying.
"A snake." He tilts his head, looking serious. "Sanada, did you leave your eyes at home?"
Smack!
A vein pops out on Sanada's forehead.
(A friendly tip: cover your ears for what comes next.)
"YOU'RE! TOO! LAX! MIZUSAWA! Don't you know the school bans pets? And that's a dangerous animal! Have you even considered everyone else's safety?"
Mizusawa looks baffled as he presses the little green snake to his cheek and rubs against it. "A Hua isn't my pet, and it won't bite. It's a good friend I've known for years, and it's my lucky charm today. I can't be without it."
Sanada clenches his fist. "You little--"
Mizusawa blinks, seemingly oblivious to the oppressive mood around him. "Besides, Sanada, you're shouting so loudly that A Hua will get scared. It's very timid."
Sanada: "..."
Then Mizusawa strokes the snake in his hands and adds, "You were louder just now than the thunder it heard last time."
