At thirteen, Yu Ting accompanied her mother on an escort job. Wielding a Ghost-Slaying Saber, she swept through the martial world without ever failing a mission, earning a fearsome reputation.
In the summer she turned seventeen, she took on the hundredth escort job of her life. They encountered a powerful enemy, her saber was broken, the cargo was lost, and her mother was killed by their foe.
She escaped with her life, but her reputation was gone.
At twenty, after years of dismal business and elusive enemies, Yu Ting finally landed a major escort job: take Ying Buhui, the notorious imperial lackey and powerful eunuch of the court, back to the capital. The fee was one thousand taels of silver.
Broke and down on her luck, Yu Ting sharpened her saber and headed north with fierce determination.
She thought she was facing a dead end, only to find a way forward when the road seemed to vanish.
Instead, she found herself battered by endless storms, frost, and rain, while bandits and corrupt officials kept coming at her without end.
Before one escort job was even finished, another came along. An old friend of her mother's was gravely ill and near death. Entrusting her with his orphaned son, he begged her to take Yan Wuxin, a wild young master who had been wandering the martial world, to the capital to seek out his powerful father.
With someone else's dog on a leash in her left hand, someone else's son in her right, a saber broken halfway down at her waist, and a freshly steamed bun in her mouth, Yu Ting killed anyone who stood in her way, be they man or god.

To intercept this escort, heroes from every corner of the martial world came at her one after another, and danger kept cropping up.
But it was fine. I, Yu Ting, have a Ghost-Slaying Saber that can never be defeated.
◆Content warnings◆
1. [Airheaded, penniless female escort guard x chatty, scheming young master x arrogant, sharp-tongued powerful eunuch]
2. The heroine is a virgin, all the men are virgins; happy ending, with male rivalry.
3. Yan is the official love interest. They are a sister-and-younger-brother pairing, three years apart in age. The ages are Ying > Yu > Yan. The second male lead is a true eunuch.
4. A martial-world road story with very little court intrigue. It's silly and wholesome, with a core cast of four. A younger sister joins midway through; the early cast is a trio. No balancing out the pairings.
