[Lord Bifang is pleased with your offering. Lord Bifang has fallen asleep.]
*After the apocalypse, the whole world is in crisis. The gods of familiar legends have turned into evil gods, and a vast shadow looms over the world. But the only way to fight the monsters is to draw on the gods' power and summon it in the form of cards.
Chen Xiao, who transmigrated into this world, brought nothing with her except a cute chibi pet-management game she'd played all the time in her previous life: Where the Divine Beasts Live.
This world has no history of Huaxia, much less any gods Chen Xiao recognizes. The top cards feature Anubis the jackal, the feathered serpent god, and the foxes of Inari. Unfortunately, Chen Xiao has zero affinity with all of them. So she turns to the game to soothe her homesickness.
When the divine beasts get hungry, she feeds them grains of millet. When they get thirsty, she adds water to their troughs. When winter comes in the game, she adds a thick layer of thatch to the roof of their house... She takes meticulous care of them.
Strangely, after she transmigrated, the game seemed to undergo some amazing changes. The once adorable, chubby Qilin calls itself "I" and demands that Chen Xiao regard it as her only faith. The solemn, dignified Dragon sprawls its tail across the room, acting outrageously spoiled.
And strange creatures never released by the game's developers keep "dropping by" the divine beasts' home, stealing Chen Xiao's food and insisting she "take them in."
Chen Xiao: Does anyone else get it? I can't even play my game in peace anymore.
Then she enters the Gods' Trial System. She is about to choose the card with the highest success rate and the most frequent use: [Cerberus].
A clear, piercing cry rings out from the depths of space, furious:
"Chirp! You treacherous human descendant! After all the millet you've fed me, you're abandoning me for that stinking, ugly dog?"
At the same time, a dignified voice sounds in her heart: "The sacred flame burns anew, the legacy continues, and the exile is over. Thank you for helping the lost gods. Now they can see their way home again."
The Huaxia gods from the game, the ones who demanded she feed them and moved into her house without permission, are actually real?!
At first, people see Chen Xiao summon a round, plump bird and scoff:
"Isn't that just a sparrow? My Hydra could swallow it in one bite."
But Chen Xiao says, "Don't rush."
Just watch me feed it three handfuls of millet!

*As more and more mysterious gods gather around Chen Xiao, the other candidates finally break down:
"Where does Chen Xiao get all her cards?"
"Why can't my three-headed dog beat her one-headed dog?!"
"That nine-tailed fox beat the nine-tailed snake I summoned to a pulp too!!"
#Why have we never heard of Chen Xiao's cards?
Chen Xiao smiles slowly. Friend, have you ever heard of Huaxia's divine beasts?
