Fragile, Clingy Heiress x Cool, Aloof Actress Who Knows She’s Being Courted
The Qi family rules Yun City with an iron fist.
The only exception is their heir, Qi Su, who has been frail and sickly since birth.
The slightest change in her emotions makes her breathing quicken and her heart race. Whenever it rains, her limbs turn cold, aching and weak.
So delicate and prone to illness that an ambulance follows her wherever she goes, she has been doted on by the entire Qi family since she was little.
Yu Wu, a rising star in the entertainment industry, was sent by her parents to the Qi family years ago to save her family from ruin. She was married off to the sickly young heiress, who could barely lift a finger.
Yu Wu assumed Qi Su would be cold and taciturn, with illness hanging over her.
Who knew that on the very first day of their marriage, Qi Su would stand at her bedroom door with a pillow in her arms? Her deep, bright, peach-blossom eyes fixed eagerly on Yu Wu. “Sis, can I sleep with you?”
This was a little different from what she had imagined.
Yu Wu’s original plan was to use the Qi family’s influence to help the Yu family through its crisis, then divorce Qi Su once things were stable and go pursue her dream of stardom.
When Qi Su found out she wanted to enter the entertainment industry, she lifted her head from between Yu Wu’s legs and gazed up at the dazed Yu Wu with a smile in her eyes. “Sis, I’ll make you a star.”
Wait... Don’t divorce her just yet. The plan has changed.
Qi Su was especially clingy. She loved following Yu Wu around and calling her “Sis.” In bed, she also loved being behind her...
Afterward, Yu Wu would always have to hold her and comfort her, still panting for breath.
Later, the Yu family rose from the ashes, and Yu Wu won the Best Actress award in one fell swoop. For a time, she was dazzlingly successful, with a bright future ahead of her.
She threw a divorce agreement in front of Qi Su, her voice cool and detached. “I’m sorry. I don’t love you. Let’s get divorced.”
Qi Su’s eyes reddened. Clutching her chest, she pleaded in a low voice, “Sis, can’t you stay?”
A flicker of hesitation crossed Yu Wu’s eyes, but then she steeled herself and refused.
On the night of the divorce, Qi Su was rushed to the ICU for emergency treatment.
When they met again at a gala, Qi Su had her arm linked with another woman’s. Her gaze was as cold as if Yu Wu were a stranger. As their shoulders brushed, Yu Wu heard Qi Su call the other woman “Sis.”
Late at night in a hotel room, Yu Wu was pinned onto the mattress, her legs held down. She gripped the person above her by the shoulders, not daring to struggle too hard.
Their cheeks and temples brushed together. Yu Wu’s breathing faltered, and she reminded her in a trembling voice, “The dress... It’s very expensive.”
Qi Su lowered her head and tore the gown apart.
“I’ll pay you back.”
“The entertainment industry is yours, and so am I.”
