Yuan Buci never knew who her parents were. She was about to be torn apart by tigers and wolves on the wasteland when a wolf-like boy saved her.
Later, she learned the sword too. To grow stronger, she traveled from one renowned master to another, honing her sword skills.
There was no shortage of swordsmen in the martial world, and every one of them had their own peculiarities. Among the swordsmen she knew, some loved peanuts, some wore only white, some killed for money, some murdered for others, some worked for the authorities, some were wanted by them, and some shut themselves away at home... Not a single one was alike. What a chaotic mess.
But just getting stronger wasn't enough. Being one of a kind was what mattered!
Yuan Buci stayed up all night crafting a persona:
"Ahem. My father, who abandoned his wife and child, was once a great figure in the martial world. Then he went mad practicing martial arts, took a dark path, and threw in his lot with a corrupt court eunuch. In the end, he died a wretched death."
"I'm nothing like him. My sword sings only for all living beings."
What a perfect, impeccable persona! What a tragic background!
A genius swordswoman getting off to a rough start: that's the only way to make it authentic!
Yuan Buci excitedly went around pitching her new persona to all her swordsman friends. The Peanut Swordsman laughed at her, the White-Clad Swordsman was baffled, the Flying Swordsman fell silent, the Constable Swordsman grew suspicious, and the Swordsman of Yihua Palace gave her a cold look...
Then one day, the weathered warrior who had thrown in his lot with the corrupt eunuch Cai appeared before her. "Daughter, I'm your father." Yuan Buci replied, "I'm your father! Your real father!" (The fun-loving soul who never thought her fake backstory would come true collapsed on the spot.)
To preserve her persona, she decided to uphold justice by killing her own father and follow a ruthless path of the sword. This time, her swordsman friends couldn't sit still...
* A mash-up of the martial arts world, with a sweet, lighthearted tone and plenty of chaotic fun. The protagonist is a gender-swapped version of Yuan Cilang, the child of Yuan Shisanxian who went missing as a child. A few other characters from the original works will also be gender-swapped. The story starts with the protagonist as a child, and she will grow up. The male lead is undecided, and there may be more than one, but he will definitely be a swordsman.
* The main works included in the mash-up are Heroes, The Famous Detectives Quartet, Flying Daggers and Fast Swords, Tales from the Border Town, The Legend of the Tulips, Four Eyebrows, and The Peerless Twins.
