[Wuxia Crossover] A Survival Guide for the Battle-Worn

(The new story blurb is at the end, and it is now available. Bonus chapters will appear from time to time.) Zhao Wuji, master of the Baixiao Hall, once declared that Song Yangui would not live to see twenty. She did indeed fail to live to twenty: instead, she became the sixth “corpse” fished out of the water beside a certain thief’s ship. A certain wealthy man from Lanzhou: I envy how freely you live. Song Yangui: I envy how wealthy you are. Shiyin: I heard from my cousin that you’re this child’s master? Flying Sword Hero (age seven): She isn’t. Song Yangui: I don’t take disciples who are too weak. I have no choice, since I owe his mother a favor. A certain master of the Divine Blade Hall (pointing at the red-robed young gentleman): Who is this? Song Yangui: He is my... A certain red-robed young gentleman: Think carefully before you answer. A certain master of Ten Thousand Plum Manor: Get up. Practice your sword. Song Yangui: Young Song Ci, but cold and merciless, making me study nonstop every day. Give me my real master back! A certain master of the Golden Wind and Drizzle Tower: Between you and me, who will live longer? Song Yangui: We don’t have to compare that. Thinking she had successfully extended her life, she discovers that every new start is still a countdown. “This time I’ll remember my lesson and keep a low profile while I grow stronger.” While the ten major sects are searching for the whereabouts of the mysterious swordsman Tang Xiaohui, in a medicine room atop Wujing Mountain, Song Yangui abandons the secret identity of Tang Xiaohui and drinks one bowl of medicine after another under her master Song Ci’s supervision. “My master wants me to live to a hundred, and would rather not teach me martial arts. But he doesn’t know that the three-foot blade in Song Yangui’s hand is engraved with the words: ‘To be young and not a hero is to waste your youth.’” Song Yangui: A natural martial arts prodigy, but saddled with a maxed-out low-health debuff. A life-extending maniac who can’t keep a low profile and is constantly itching for a fight. With this blade in my hand, I can punish evil, protect the weak, and pass on the Way. A Wuxia Crossover featuring Jin Yong, Gu Long, and Wen Rui’an. Slow transmigration. The main plot is continuous, not a series of separate restarts; 2. Not a crowd of admirers competing for the heroine. There are a few one-sided crushes. The male lead is a man of a thousand faces; 3. The heroine is a native of the world and strong, knows nothing about the plot, will succeed in extending her life, and gets a happy ending. She completes every job, but the number of final payments she actually receives... is pitifully small. The only clients with good credit are the Yihua Palace and the Divine Water Palace. Gritting her teeth, she makes a list of the clients who have withheld their final payments, in no particular order: Green-Clad Tower (A huge enterprise, but its master is stingy) Huashan Sect (Famous for its swords, even more so for dodging bills) Southern Prince’s Manor (Even a prince’s manor owes money?) Money Gang (Who came up with that name!) Ghost Manor (Even ghosts can’t get away with not paying!) And Bat Island, Ten Thousand Horses Hall, Six and a Half Hall, the Youqiao Group... She decides to collect the debts her own way, before they go under. Later, the Golden Wind and Drizzle Tower, the Shandong Divine Spear Association, Yihua Palace, the Divine Constabulary, and others all offer her a place on their teams. As for the wanderer who keeps appearing on her assignments, claiming he “just happened to be passing by,” the swordsman she once worked with, the tower master who always wants to drag her back to Bianjing, and the leader of what might be a mysterious organization... Xie Wanzhi: I’m out of here. I’m leaving first. Someone once asked Xie Wanzhi: Of all the weapons in the world, why choose a spear? Is it because the spear is the king of all weapons? Xie Wanzhi drains a pot of wine and scenery, counting on her fingers with a helpless expression. “Have you ever counted how many famous swordsmen and bladesmen there are in the martial world? If I didn’t use a spear, how could I make a name for myself as a bounty hunter?” These days, choosing well matters more than strength. But sometimes she dreams of the lonely smoke beyond Yumen Pass, the autumn geese beneath the endless gale, and the vast snowstorms beyond the frontier... She remembers the weapon in her hand, and its true name. * Wuxia Crossover, blending Jin Yong, Gu Long, Wen Rui’an, and Huang Yi. Theme: Stand firm against adversity, and keep the heart shining.
