Suave, old-soul ghost top × brooding, proud, flirtatious bottom
Xie Huaiwu × Shen Baijin
Shen Baijin threw open his coffin lid and crawled out of his grave, ready to continue his revenge. He still hadn’t uncovered the mastermind’s scheme, and he had never forgotten the massacre that wiped out his family. Unfortunately, his luck is terrible: wherever he goes, people die.
At an inn, a guest is murdered, and someone impersonates him, claiming he did it! When Shen Baijin visits a certain clan, its members start killing each other left and right, all trying to pin the blame on him. Shen Baijin says he can’t carry this many burdens. Heh. Don’t provoke a lunatic whose entire family was killed.
Meanwhile, his ex-boyfriend is still haunting him. He hides in Shen Baijin’s room, hoping to keep him as a secret lover, and transforms from the leader of the Witch Cult into a radiant, upright hero of the orthodox sects. He relentlessly pursues Shen Baijin, whining about how heartless and unfaithful he is and how his husband is going to abandon him. Shen Baijin gets so angry he hits him, but the man happily covers his face and secretly follows him around, peeping from behind with a thoroughly creepy air.
Shen Baijin has to hunt down his enemies, deal with his clingy, high-maintenance ex, and help his sweet but clueless cousin manage the family. Then, while passing through a village, he encounters a perverted girl who starts slaughtering people left and right... Shen Baijin: I really can’t deal with all this.

Back then, desperate to get revenge as soon as possible, Shen Baijin insisted on taking a shortcut and demanded Xie Huaiwu’s cultivation technique.
Xie Huaiwu: (calmly) No. The side effects are severe.
Shen Baijin: (climbing onto his lap) Hand it over.
Shen Baijin’s perspective: I crawled out of my grave, only to have my ex relentlessly pursue me.
Xie Huaiwu’s perspective: My beautiful, tragic, unhinged disciple treats me like his nemesis.
Former title, literary edition: "Witch Sickness"

New novel now open: *Unknown Dreamscape [Infinite]*:
(Cold, gloomy, touch-starved long-haired top / calm, highly intelligent, witty beauty bottom)
Lin Yin’s life was peaceful, until one day he fell asleep at work. When he woke up, he had somehow gone from his workplace to someone else’s classroom. The room was full of students in class, and he was an adult in a white lab coat. He stuck out like a sore thumb! Wait, why is his deskmate cooking hot pot?
What is going on? And what’s with this System-like thing calling itself an administrator and spouting a bunch of high-minded nonsense?
Lin Yin sums it up: Oh, he’s in a dream and got kidnapped to do some work. What rotten luck.
Lin Yin says: Don’t panic. Hey, deskmate, can I have a couple bites of your hot pot?
He’s barely had a couple bites when monsters start chasing them. Lin Yin has only a non-combat skill, so he can do nothing but flee in a panic.
This place is fantastical and bizarre. Rats talk while brewing medicine, flowers play music to help you sleep, and at night, all kinds of monsters throw a dance party in the classroom.
The dreamscape is ever-changing, and everything is unknown. No one can guess what will happen next, and there’s no peace to be found. One moment you’re being chased without warning, the next you’re fighting monsters.
As Lin Yin searches for a way out and tries to adapt, he keeps his spirits up and even gets his companions to join him for a barbecue. Since they’re already here, they might as well eat before they leave.
He’s lucky enough to meet some kind companions, including a little girl who’s great at fighting.
When Lin Yin enters the dreamscape again, he runs into the girl, but she doesn’t recognize him. Wait, are the two little girls actually different people?
Who’s this person? And that one? Why do they all look like the same person? Could one of them be his ex? What?! He even turned into Lin Yin?
The man finally reveals his handsome true appearance. Lin Yin: “Care to explain?”
Tang Shi: “...”
Tang Shi’s friends grumble, “Did you really have to copy our character models?”
[What lies beyond the darkness is unknown. People are afraid of the unknown by nature, and death is unknown too. In the end, we fear losing what we have now. That’s only human, so we should cherish life’s joys. We’re also afraid of what might happen after death, but no one knows the answer, so why worry?]
Theme: Persevere against all odds.
