His mom fell in love with an American hunk and married him in a flash, bringing along her unemployed son as part of the package: Ruan Su.

On his first day, Ruan Su couldn't adjust to the time difference, so he sneaked into a bar in the middle of the night.

The lights were blinding, and the music thudded in his chest. Someone pressed up behind him, clasped a hand around his waist, and leaned down to say something in his ear.

The English came fast and low, and Ruan Su couldn't make it out. All he caught was a crisp, woody scent.

Then they ended up in bed together.

When he woke up, he was in a large hotel bed. The curtains were drawn, and the room was dim.

The man was fully dressed and sitting on the sofa, looking at his phone. When he saw Ruan Su open his eyes, he turned his head. His blue eyes looked deep in the low light.

"Breakfast or lunch? Your choice. I ordered room service."

Ruan Su's throat was too hoarse to speak, and his waist ached. His knees were covered in marks.

Embarrassed, he waved his hands and pulled the covers tightly around himself. "No, no, I'm fine. I have a family gathering tonight. Thanks."

Luckily, the other man was quite the gentleman. He handed Ruan Su the underwear he'd washed the night before and even called him a car.

When Ruan Su hurried home, the dining table was already covered with food.

His mom hurried over, put an arm around him, and gestured toward the room inside. "Go say hello to your big brother Saul. You'll be real brothers from now on."

Ruan Su dragged his still-wobbly legs over and knocked on the door.

It opened.

Ruan Su looked up and met the most familiar pair of blue eyes.

Reese Russell, an American off-road racer.
