Survival by National Destiny: My Talent Summons Chinese Mythology

In 3026, Blue Star's attempt to ascend to a higher dimension fails. Disasters descend, alien races run rampant, human civilization regresses, and humanity teeters on the brink of extinction.

To find a chance at survival, people have no choice but to enter a doomsday survival game, awaken talents, clear the apocalypses, seize their nation's fortune, and save a collapsing world.

During a livestream, a player from the Western Kingdom awakens the S-rank talent [Vulcan], controlling fire and remaining impervious to cold as he easily clears the Frozen Apocalypse. A player from the Neon Kingdom awakens the S-rank talent [Onmyoji], controlling a hundred ghosts to slay a terrifying boss and shock the crowd... Only Hua Nation's player, Fang Zhiye, awakens the E-rank talent [Summoning], a nearly useless ability that only lets him draw cards from a card pool he created himself.

Faced with mockery from other countries, Fang Zhiye falls into thought.

Before he transmigrated, he was a game designer for a game based on Chinese civilization.

Does that mean Chinese mythology and historical tales can all be part of his card pool?

Fang Zhiye has an epiphany.

Hua Nation draws the Wooden Cabin Survival World, starting from the start with a rundown shack.

A beast tide strikes.

All the players cower in their safe houses.

He summons [Character Card: Wu Song] alongside [Item Card: Strong Liquor], gaining the ability [Wu Song Fights the Tiger]. His strength and speed increase dramatically, and he charges into the beast horde, killing the S-rank beast leader with one punch before stripping off its hide to make clothes.

A cold wave sweeps through. Even players with planting talents can't grow food. Everyone is so hungry they grow gaunt, but Fang Zhiye summons [Item Card: Toiling Farmers]. With the line, [Sow one grain of millet in spring, and reap ten thousand in autumn], he harvests a thousand jin of grain from a single mu of land.

When the little wooden cabin has been upgraded into a territory, the players arrive at the battlefield of ten thousand races to fight. The alien races watch covetously, their armies at the gates.

Fang Zhiye reaches out and draws a card. Brilliant light shines from the card pool, and [Spirit-Communicating Stone (Upgradeable)] lands in his hand...

"What is Hua Nation doing? At a time like this, they're still playing with rocks?"

"They think a lousy stone can stop the alien armies? The people of Hua Nation have gone crazy!"

"Looks like he wants to bash himself to death with that rock, so he won't have to lose so embarrassingly."

A bolt of thunder strikes. The stone splits open, golden light pierces the sky, and clouds and mist swirl around it.
