I'll Take a Bite of Your Offering

Well...

A very poor heroine sneaks a bite of the offerings left for the dead male lead.

Then the ghost male lead starts keeping an eye on her.

Little scene

She’s crouched beneath the altar table, clutching two or three apples and chomping away, when a cold breeze brushes past her ear.

She turns and sees a man as pale as snow staring at the apple in her hand.

She hides the apple behind her back. “Mine!”

The man says, “You stole it too.”

She says, “But I stole it first. You can’t take it!”

Then she notices the man’s face has gone pale. Maybe he’s weak from being hungry for too long.

She hesitates, then breaks off a small piece. “Hey, you look like you’re starving to death. Here, have some.”

The man says, “Well, thank you very much.”

“You’re welcome.”
