After arriving in Backlund, the penniless Klein was lucky enough to rent a bargain apartment.
The good news: the rent was low, short-term leases were accepted, and it was one month's rent plus a one-month deposit.
The bad news: his landlord lived right next door and, by all accounts, was a disreputable tavern owner.
He came home late and left early, kept upside-down hours, always looked worn-out, changed roommates at an astonishing rate, and always smelled of blood.
To be safe, Klein began keeping an eye on his landlord.
The first day of renting in Backlund: The landlord seems to be sneaking someone in.
The seventh day of renting in Backlund: The landlord seems to be sneaking off to eat someone.
One month after renting in Backlund: Holy crap, my landlord is an evil god!
Klein: I used to want to jump into the Chaos Sea with my landlord. Now? Now we've made peace.
More or less an outer god's life simulation game. No romance. The protagonist is still an outer god from the start, and basically begins at max level without having to suffer. The perspective will switch back and forth between the protagonist and Klein.
A lighthearted slice-of-life story. The blurb and title will probably change, but the central premise won't.
