Chi Youxi first met Yi Yao at a game of Werewolf organized with friends. Yi Yao sat to her left and was so handsome that a girl at the next table nearly stuck her head right onto theirs.
In the first round, Chi Youxi was a wolf and Yi Yao was the Seer. On the first night, he checked her and found her to be a wolf.
Yi Yao tossed the Seer card into the middle of the table with a cold expression. "I checked you because you were sitting closest to me."
In the second round, Chi Youxi was the Seer and Yi Yao was a wolf. On the first night, he led his teammates in killing her first.
When the game ended, Chi Youxi slammed the table and stood up. "I'm done playing. You killed me first and checked me first. You've got it in for me."
Yi Yao: "Because you were sitting closest to me."
As luck would have it, she ran into that jerk again at school the next day.
The whole school thought the two of them would never get along, even if the sun rose in the west. But behind everyone's backs, they became the only people who knew each other's secrets.
Later on, Yi Yao tossed her a ring on the school rooftop and said, "A token of our love. Don't lose it."
Chi Youxi caught it. "You think a rose gold ring is enough to win me over?"
Yi Yao: "?"
Chi Youxi: "Young master, take it back. Bring me a ten-carat one."
Yi Yao: "..."
