Taking My Nephew's Wife by Force

At the family banquet in the first year of Yan Mingchuan's tenure as family head, all members of the Yan family were required to attend under the family rules. Outsiders not listed in the family genealogy were not qualified to attend.

His nephew, Yan Yu'an, ignored the rules and brought along a fair-skinned, beautiful boy from another family, boldly announcing that they had privately pledged themselves to each other.

The room erupted in discussion. Marriages in the Yan family had never been up to the individuals themselves, unless... Yan Mingchuan's gaze fell on the boy's face: smooth and radiant, exquisitely flawless, with the looks of a dangerous beauty.

Jiang Yu was stared at by a host of unwelcoming eyes, and nearly burst into tears. If he were driven out of the Yan family, he would die.

Then the man, lofty and commanding, known as the family head, spoke: "Behave yourself, and you can stay."

Jiang Yu stayed with the Yan family. He had thought he would be able to spend every day and night with his boyfriend, but instead, the person he saw most often was the family head.

The Yan household was vast, and its rules were numerous. One day, after a etiquette lesson, Jiang Yu was returning to his room when a sudden downpour began. Only the family head was permitted to enter the study nearby. Gritting his teeth, Jiang Yu hurried on through the rain. Just as he was soaked through, a black umbrella appeared over his head.

"If you catch a cold and miss class, be careful you don't get kicked out."

Yan Mingchuan pressed the umbrella into his hand, his tone indifferent.

Jiang Yu thanked him quietly. Daring not to look at him for long, he hurried away with the umbrella, unaware that the man behind him watched him go for a long while.

The butler reported, "Young Master Yu'an's paperwork for going abroad is ready. Young Master Jiang Yu's status as a suspect has not yet been cleared, so he cannot leave the country for now."

Yan Mingchuan, whose face was usually as calm as a dead man's, rarely showed a smile. In an ordinary tone, he instructed, "After Yu'an leaves, have Jiang Yu move in with me."

The butler was shocked to the core, but replied softly, "Yes."
