[Moderately Scary Infinite-Flow Fluff]
[Beautiful Little Liar × Hot-Blooded Boy Whose Tricks Backfire]
Ma Sishun had only stopped at a highway rest area to use the bathroom. When he came out, the world before him had turned into a completely unfamiliar town.
It took only a little thought for him to figure it out:
This was probably just like the posts online said. He'd somehow stumbled into an alternate-world instance.
If so, he knew the drill: wander around and he'd surely run into an NPC.
Sure enough, as he rounded a corner, a pretty girl appeared before him.
She sat alone on the stairs, her hair stirred by a gentle breeze. When she noticed him looking, her face remained placid, neither happy nor sad.
A textbook NPC if he'd ever seen one.
Ma Sishun's eyes lit up.
He went over to test his theory, and the NPC cheerfully gave him directions.
But before long, he realized he had ended up back at the same intersection.
Ma Sishun: "...?"
Was he triggering it the wrong way? Did he need a secret password?
He went over and asked again. The girl gave him directions just like before.
Then he ended up right back where he started.
This happened eighteen times in a row.
Only the eighteenth time was a little different. He didn't appear in front of the NPC, but behind her.
He furrowed his brow, wondering whether he should try again.
Then he saw the girl who'd been wearing that "standard NPC smile" looking around, before lowering her head and muttering to herself.
Had he... triggered something?
Ma Sishun narrowed his eyes and strode over. He heard her whisper, "That guy hasn't come back... Does that mean the path I took really leads out?"
Ma Sishun: ?
Ma Sishun: !
So this girl wasn't an NPC after all. She was a little liar just like him, desperately trying to find her way out!
Shan Nai had only washed her face at school. When she looked up, the world had turned into an unfamiliar town.
She'd walked around in circles several times. Each time, the intersection opened up new paths, but they all led to the same place.
Shan Nai: "...?"
Seriously, if she tried every path one by one, she'd wear herself out!
Just as she was about to give up, a boy suddenly appeared in town.
He looked around, and the moment he saw her, his eyes lit up. He even muttered, "I knew there'd be an NPC."
NPC?
Shan Nai's mind raced. She put on a warm, welcoming smile and enthusiastically gave the gullible fish before her directions.
Later.
Watching one person after another get eliminated, Ma Sishun sighed and shook his head. "I told you all not to trust that pretty little liar."
Reader's Guide:
1. One-on-one, both leads are each other's first, sweet romance with no angst.
2. Not a strong female lead or a powerhouse heroine. A young-adult adventure in an infinite-flow setting, with a moderate level of horror.
3. The male and female leads aren't perfect people, and the story contains plenty of original worldbuilding.
