Can a Beagle Really Bring Good Luck?

Xi Ge blinked and found himself turned into a beagle at a pet shop.

The owner held him by the scruff and tried to sell him to a customer: "Look how cute he is! And the best part is, he's mute!"

Xi Ge: "You're the mute one! Your whole family is mute! (Werrwerrwerr...)"

The owner calmly set Xi Ge down. "...See? He started talking the moment you showed up. That's fate! And this is the only puppy with the birth chart you're looking for. It must be destiny."

Xi Ge tilted his head and looked up at the two of them in confusion. Dogs have to match birth charts now? What kind of feudal nonsense is this?

His adorable head tilt won over Huo Zhaoting. "I'll take him! If he's supposed to bring good luck, a lively one will bring some life to the house."

Only later did Huo Zhaoting realize that the dog didn't just bring life to the house. He brought a new reason to get mad every day...

He refuses to sleep in his dog bed and insists on sleeping in the human bed!

He refuses to eat dog food and demands to eat at the table!

He refuses to run around outside, preferring to watch TV at home, and he loves stealing phones to play games with his paws!

Whenever you scold him, he tilts his head and looks at you like he doesn't understand. Whenever you try to hit him, he leads your whole family on a wild chase, then stops to check if anyone's caught up. If they haven't, he sits down and waits...

Because of his health problems, Huo Zhaoting had always been gloomy, the worst-tempered person in the family. Even when the old man told him to get a good-luck dog, he dared to fob him off with some random mutt.

Unexpectedly, after getting this dog, he stopped using his wheelchair when he went out, because the wheelchair couldn't keep up with the dog!

He even started going to the doctor on his own, because he felt off if he didn't, and the dog kept giving him headaches!

Little by little, he went from being the most fearsome person in the family to the most patient one...
