This world follows an ABO setting, with three sexes: Qianyuan, Zhongyong, and Kunze. The original gong, Tao Songwu, is a Qianyuan with some intellectual difficulties but a strong, capable body. By a twist of fate, she finds a stunning beauty in dire straits, the original shou, Chu Rao, and happily marries her.
As a Kunze, Chu Rao was once a noble princess, powerful enough to command the court. She was breathtakingly beautiful, but ruthless and cold, decisive and merciless in all she did. After certain changes in fortune, she ended up in this little mountain village. With the Qianyuan around her coveting her, she had no choice but to rely for the time being on the foolish original gong, who thought of her as his wife.
Although the original gong adored Chu Rao and did everything she could to treat her well, Chu Rao looked down on the simple-minded, brawny fool. She hated having to submit to him, often nitpicking and belittling the gong, and telling her to get lost at the drop of a hat.
Later, Chu Rao regained her status as a princess. When she tried to bring the gong, her nominal spouse, back with her, she discovered the gong was gone. The gong had regained her normal intelligence, grown disillusioned with Chu Rao, and chosen to leave. Chu Rao finally realized she loved her, put her pride aside, and pursued her relentlessly to win her back. After a series of twists and turns, they got their happy ending.
At first glance, this seemed like an ordinary story about chasing the gong after losing her, with nothing to do with Xie Feixu. She was just a passerby who had transmigrated into the book, and had only recently realized she was in a story. The person living next door, whom the villagers always mocked as a “fool,” was the original gong.
...But now it had everything to do with her.
On the very night Chu Rao was found by the original gong, Chu Rao climbed right into Xie Feixu’s bed.
