"Do not cling to flowing waters gone by. Turn back from the sea of suffering, and recognize the cause of your blessings early."
This is a piece of personal writing inspired by life. Updates are uncertain, so please just read it for fun. (Note: This is a novel with no moral compass, an 18+ kind of story, and leans toward realism. The female lead's personality and character are both flawed. Please don't take it seriously or imitate it. If you don't like it, don't read it.)
What does it mean to be good?
My parents think that as long as I don't smoke, drink, or gamble, I'm a good girl.
But when I was lying in his arms,
he told me to get his name tattooed on my lower abdomen.
I agreed without hesitation.
He froze, then said, "Forget it. Maybe when you're a little better behaved."
What would I have to do to be good enough for him?
I don't know.
Do not cling to flowing waters gone by. Turn back from the sea of suffering, and recognize the cause of your blessings early.
If you fall in love and go away, you will return to the sea of suffering, and you will be enlightened early.
Meaning: Don't dwell on things that have already passed. Turn your heart around while in the sea of suffering, wake up early, and find true happiness.
