My Ex-Husband Wants to See Me Tonight

After her divorce, Rong Shuyue gets a work assignment: interview her ex-husband.

Looking at the brief chat history with him on her phone, she gains an even deeper understanding of their three-year marriage of convenience. Bracing herself, she invites him to meet that evening.

She expects her ex-husband to delete her, but instead he readily agrees.

Rong Shuyue's eyes light up: My ex-husband really is a good person!

A month after the divorce, his ex-wife takes the initiative and asks to see him tonight.

After careful consideration, Yan Mingchen agrees.

Two single people who have been intimate before, just taking care of a physical need. That's perfectly normal.

That evening, in the home they once shared, his ex-wife looks at him with a shy, tender gaze. Her cheeks are flushed from the sweet wine.

"Would you be willing to be the subject of my interview?"

Yan Mingchen, about to put an arm around his ex-wife's waist: "...No."

Preorder: Who Are You? Face-Blind Actress x Powerful Man Who Gets Jealous but Won't Admit It

When Jiang Mingyue learns her fiance has been cheating, she's at an industry banquet. She ignores all the explanations the scumbag has sent to her phone and reads only the last line: [Yueyue, I'm outside the villa. Come out so we can talk, okay?]

Talk?

She immediately grips her clutch and hurries outside. Spotting a suited figure standing in the moonlight with his back to her, she swings her rhinestone-studded aluminum clutch at him with all her strength. Anyone watching would think she was trying to murder and rob him.

Thud. The tall man's body stiffens, and he turns around, his handsome face cold as he looks down at her.

Jiang Mingyue gets even angrier and yells, "Now you're pretending to be aloof? Shameless!"

She raises her hand to slap him, but the man casually catches her wrist. "Miss, is this how a female star should behave?"

At that moment, the scumbag shouts from not far away, "Jiang Mingyue! Who are you getting all touchy-feely with?"

Jiang Mingyue, face-blind but very good at recognizing voices: "..."

Damn, wrong person.

As the newly appointed head of the Yan family, Yan Cheng is ruthless and feared. No family in the capital dares to offend him. And yet, a minor celebrity manages to get herself mixed up with him.

She's an obscure, eighteenth-tier vase of an actress, not even the sort of star a paparazzo would label a top-tier star in a headline.

News that she's been cheated on spreads like wildfire. As both the wealthy elite and the entertainment industry mock her, Jiang Mingyue sees black.

That's when Yan Cheng proposes a one-year contract to pretend to date.

Jiang Mingyue thinks: I get it. Pretend long enough and it'll become real. In other words, he's proposing to me.

She immediately nods like a pecking chicken and agrees.

After that night, Jiang Mingyue starts working hard to improve her ability to recognize faces.

At last, all her hard work pays off! She can pick Yan Cheng out of a crowd at a glance. She's amazing!

So she accepts his proposal again.

The next day, a trending topic explodes: [Famous Actress Apparently Rejects Powerful Man's Proposal! Seen Chatting Intimately with Male Friend at Airport While Powerful Man Gazes at Her Lovingly!]

The so-called male friend: We don't even know each other!
