Your Majesty, Why the Rebellion? [Ying Zheng Selfcest]

Blurb One:

The first thing Ying Zheng does after transmigrating to a parallel world is kill his counterpart in that world. He summons his civil and military officials in the middle of the night to discuss taking the throne.

The ministers are baffled: Why is Your Majesty plotting a rebellion?!

After going through untold hardships, Ying Zheng finally storms into Xianyang Palace, only to find the sleeping quarters completely empty. Wait, where is the Ying Zheng of this world? This is bad! My Great Qin!

The ministers: His Majesty has taken a liking to role-playing. We have to play along. This is exhausting.

.

Blurb Two:

Two young Ying Zhengs from parallel timelines meet.

1.

"Hey!"

"I have a name!"

"But that's what you call me, too."

"..."

"Can't bring yourself to say it? Who calls himself by his own name?"

"Pick a different name."

"No! Why don't you change yours?"

"Then let's both change them."

"Okay."

2.

"Have you thought of names?"

"I have, but you have to say yours first."

"..."

"Do you think I don't know you? You'll make me say mine first, then use the name to get one over on me."

"In that case, let's each take the name of a color we like. That way, neither of us will get the upper hand."

"Good idea. Then I'll be Ying Xuan, and you'll be Ying Hong!"

"Why don't you call yourself Ying Hei?"

"..."

Note: I'm an original writer of reciprocal pairings, not a derivative-work writer. I wrote this Ying Zheng self-pairing purely because I like it. I don't know when I'll start this story. In short, I won't have time this year or next year.

Compared with my previous two stories, this one has a lighter tone. There are also two completed Ying Zheng self-pairing stories in my collection, "The Qin King Sweeps the Six States" and "The First Emperor of Qin, Never Again as He Was," for readers who prefer a historical approach.

Another note: Ying Zheng's surname was Ying and his clan name was Zhao. One theory says the Qin clan took its name from its fief, which is actually more reasonable. But if even Sima Qian couldn't figure it out, don't make me, a writer of fluffy amateur fiction, deal with it. More than one person told me Ying Zheng took his mother's surname, so out of sheer contrariness I gave him the surname Zhao.

One more note: This is probably the only Ying Zheng self-pairing story I've written in which both characters are sexually inexperienced, since they were childhood sweethearts.

Premise: We must strive to stand on our own!
