Never to Meet Again

Rong Yi (top) x Song Wuxi (bottom). Happy-ending ABO story.

Rong Yi never expected to transmigrate into a book.

After another day of overtime, Rong Yi, an overworked office drone, was on her way home. She'd planned to buy herself a little cake as a treat, but before she could take a bite, she died. That's right, she was hit by a car just after leaving the bakery. And then, to her surprise, she transmigrated into a book as the original character who shared her name: the heroine's cannon-fodder wife.

She'd been slacking off at work, reading a novel, and ended up transmigrating into it. This twenty-first-century homebody did nothing but work, read novels, and play games. One day, while idly scrolling at work, she came across a novel with the same name as hers. Rong Yi clicked in and saw her own name as the heroine's early-story cannon fodder. She was so angry she wanted to curse!

After transmigrating into the book, she found herself with a wife. A single woman in her twenties who'd never been in a relationship, she now had a wife, Song Wuxi, the novel's top Omega. Song Anyi, meanwhile, was the Alpha destined for the heroine, an Omega.

Song Anyi was Song Wuxi's adoptive younger sister, with no blood relation. She was only a passing cannon-fodder character, and the book never explained where she'd come from. After the cannon fodder left, the heroine's destined Alpha returned, and the two lived together until they finally got married. Rong Yi only wanted to coast through the story and make a clean exit once the real protagonist returned.

She never expected to fall in love at first sight with the protagonist, Song Wuxi. But she knew she was only a cannon-fodder character, so she continued to coast. Still, she gradually fell under Song Wuxi's spell.

Their good times didn't last. When Song Wuxi had to choose between the two of them, she chose Song Anyi. Rong Yi finally understood that cannon fodder could never compete with the protagonist chosen by fate. Heartbroken, she died.

But Rong Yi never expected that she wouldn't return to her own world after dying. Instead, she was reborn.

After being reborn, Rong Yi decided she wouldn't love Song Wuxi anymore. She would stay away from them.

When Song Wuxi found out Rong Yi was leaving, she immediately went to find her. "A-Rong..."

But before she could finish, Rong Yi cut her off. "Enough. I don't want anything to do with you anymore." With that, she turned to leave.

Somehow, Rong Yi's mind went hazy and she passed out. When she came to, she realized Song Wuxi had imprisoned her.

Under Song Wuxi's intense pursuit, Rong Yi fell in love with her again. There was nothing she could do. The two of them returned to the way they had been before. Just as Rong Yi thought they could finally live happily together...

When Rong Yi discovered Song Wuxi embracing the one who was destined for her, she could no longer stand it and left.

Their good times didn't last. Rong Yi died in a car accident. But, to her surprise, she was reborn again. This time, her rebirth was different: she had a System.

The System told her that, for certain reasons, the plot had changed. This wasn't the original book, but a different one. This book was about her daughter turning evil and hurting the protagonist. She had transmigrated here to change that ending.

Hearing about a daughter, Rong Yi froze for a moment and asked, bewildered, "What daughter?" The System told her it was the child she had with Song Wuxi.

Rong Yi could hardly believe it. When she learned that her daughter would die because of the protagonist's group, she could no longer hold it together. So she went back to her daughter and devoted herself to being there for her.
