Please Give It Some Thought

Gu Qing, Junior Minister of the Court of Judicial Review, strictly adhered to the law, kept watch over herself, and practiced self-discipline.

Until Meng Jing, the princess who was always dropping by "on her way," brought pastries and smiles and piece by piece dismantled the quiet of her office, the walls around her courtyard, and the impenetrable rules she'd built around her heart.

"Gu Qing, your rules can keep your feet in place, but can they keep your heart in check?"

It turned out the hardest case in the world was falling in love with no evidence, with her coming on so fiercely that there was nowhere left to retreat.
