Looking for a shared topic in the industry? Just ask, “Hey, do you know Luo Mingci?”
The other person will slap their thigh and exclaim, “Know him? Who in our line of work doesn't? The big shot switched industries to open an entertainment company just for him, and only promotes him. He can get whatever resources he wants. Tsk, what tactics, what scheming. We're no match for him.”
Then you'll happily chatter on and on, lamenting that you didn't meet sooner, talking late into the night, and still not wanting to part.
Luo Mingci had been in the industry for a year and a half. He had no notable works, and even a dog would shake its head at his acting. He debuted with the labels “backed by a powerful patron” and “slept his way to the top,” and his debut stirred up a storm. He came with controversy and traffic built in.
Even being famous for all the wrong reasons still counts as being famous. You tell me, doesn't everyone know Luo Mingci's name?
Luo Mingci was moved by the wonderful life of getting paid to take acting classes. “But the boss spends money to invest in my projects, gives me a job, and pays my salary on time... The boss is such a good person.”
His manager grabbed him by the ear, exasperated. “Could you try using your head for once?”
Ying Xian started out as an extra and climbed the ladder step by step on his own, eventually winning Best Actor. In an interview, he openly declared that the thing he hated most in life was people taking shortcuts and pulling strings.
Asked what he thought of Luo Mingci, Ying Xian replied, “Actors should focus on their craft. As for people who aren't actors, I have nothing to say.”
Netizens turned the interview into memes that spread far and wide and never went out of circulation.

His manager, passing by, collapsed on the spot.

Luo looks like a cat. When I smell it, I keep smelling it. When I leave, I turn my head and respond. The main thing is to take good care of yourself.
