A new mayor has arrived in Gotham City.
The mayor is beautiful.
The mayor is rich.
The mayor is a tyrant!!!
These are the impressions of Gotham's citizens and the criminals who have suffered at his hands.
Lan En was recommended an open-ended city-building simulation game by a friend: [Mayor of Gotham].
In the game, you play as a mayor, and your city is Gotham, known as the crime capital. Your job is to manage and develop Gotham. Be careful: every decision you make will lead the city toward a better or worse ending.
Lan En wasn't interested in playing house, but he was very interested in a city that called itself the crime capital.
What do you do about a budget deficit? Raid their homes!
Lan En summoned an army with one click, then took the tax bureau out that night to raid every gang, large and small, in Gotham. At the door, he had just two words: Pay up! If they paid, they could leave with their money. If they refused, they got a prison package, plus confiscation of their property. If they resisted, they got a beating and a prison package.
What do you do when citizens have nothing to do but commit crimes? Put them to work!
Lan En sent every captured criminal, according to the severity of their crimes, to help build Gotham. There was everything from street sweeping to postwar reconstruction. Tried to run? The humiliating video taken on the day of your arrest would be broadcast across the whole city.
What do you do when the wealthy and powerful get upset and incite every municipal department to strike? Let the people who want to work do the work!
Lan En dismissed everyone on the strike list with one click and gave promotions and raises to everyone still working. If you won't do it, there are plenty of others who will!
