You Should've Told Me My Main Quest Was to Run an Inn

Pei Jinglu transmigrated into a wuxia world where everything went wrong. Even running a mountain stronghold was on the verge of driving her into bankruptcy.

On a stormy night, just as she was about to split up the possessions with her sisters and subordinates and go their separate ways, a System suddenly popped up in her mind.

[Hello! I am the Management System. Your main quest has begun! Please turn your inn into the greatest inn in the wuxia world!]

Pei Jinglu: ^^?

Why didn't you say so sooner?

She looked around at her sisters. One had a scarred face, another wielded a curved blade. None of them looked like law-abiding citizens.

Are you sure my inn is supposed to be a legitimate business?

A poor scholar was traveling to the capital to sit the imperial examinations. On a dark and stormy night, she passed by the notorious Yansha Ridge.

They said a band of vicious bandits lived there. Their leader was a jade-faced Yama, and her underlings were like little demons from the underworld, every last one of them a handful.

She was filled with dread, but still got dragged into the bandits' lair. Just as despair began to set in, she heard a gentle laugh from the white-clad figure seated above her.

“Excuse me, would you like a meal or a room for the night?”

The jianghu rumor mill says the Lotus Inn is the finest inn in the world.

Wealthy merchants, heroes fleeing vendettas, princes living among commoners, and historians on diplomatic missions to foreign lands have all lodged there.

News from across the land gathers there, and people from every walk of life do business there. The first- and second-ranked masters in the jianghu once fought to decide their ranking in the Lotus Hall.

Even a top scholar who wandered in by mistake had to write a tale called The Lotus Source.

No one knows the innkeeper's true identity. The greatest swordsman has said plainly: if Pei Jinglu calls herself second in the jianghu, no one would dare call themselves first.
