When he died in a zombie horde, Zhou Yanjun thought that was the end of his life.

But when he opened his eyes, he had transmigrated to the insect world... without a System or a memory package!

And there was a dead female insect lying on the ground. This guy had tried something shady, so Zhou Yanjun had mistaken him for a zombie and killed him in self-defense.

Especially since he was the only member of his squad to make it out of the Scorpion Beast nest alive, and had been plagued by nightmares ever since.

When he decided to marry this E-rank male, he considered only two things: this insect had no tail stinger, so he was safe, and he was so clever that he understood everything with just a hint. That would let Ryan escape his family's arranged marriage once and for all.

At first, Ryan simply followed the advice in books, doing his best to be a proper female spouse and care for and protect his injured male.

But at some point, he became less and less able to take his eyes off this male.

The male always left him blushing, yet he couldn't help edging closer.

Though he was older than the male, he felt a level of affirmation and affection from him that he had never known before, along with comfort and protection.

And so, little by little, the greedy voice in his heart grew restless. Ryan learned to take his hand first, ask for kisses first, and even more...

He even wanted to keep the male by his side every moment, make sure he looked at no other insect and never got hurt...

But the male had far too many secrets.

The closer Ryan got, the more the other tried to pull away.

A year later, they met again on a military planet.

Zhou Yanjun greeted him easily. “Hey, Captain. Long time no see.”

The new squad member beside them asked, “Huh? Captain, you know each other?”

Ryan gritted his teeth. “Who knows this bastard?!”

Zhou Yanjun sighed. “Sigh... Does being an ex-husband mean you were never a husband?”
