Synopsis
Lian En Lin, a three-time Formula One World Drivers' Champion (WDC) and the dynasty-building star of the Acropolis team, is a one-of-a-kind mixed-race East Asian beauty, adored by sponsors and unmatched worldwide. He is one of the most celebrated racing prodigies of recent years.
A born winner, he's never short of headlines or attention. But while others chase that kind of traffic, he takes a laid-back approach, insisting he never checks social media and doesn't care about bad press.
In private, though, he has a secret hobby: using an alt account to search his own name obsessively.
Not for any other reason. He just loves reading compliments.
But the internet is a mixed bag. Alongside the praise that lifts his spirits are insults that can ruin his whole day with a single glance.
And under those insults, there's always a familiar ID bearing his number, charging in to defend him.
88_akn7
This person has a jaw-droppingly awful attitude, an unknown identity, and a ridiculous amount of firepower. They attack without ever defending.
They've kept the same ID ever since Lian En won his first championship, and have repeatedly taken on the entire internet single-handedly:
When random commenters question Lian En's ability and say his salary is inflated,
88_akn7: I wonder where you experts were making your fortunes when Lin won the WDC [blows a kiss]
When haters viciously insult and slander Lian En,
88_akn7: Look at you getting worked up again. That's what haters are like: open your mouths and out come the lies [cute]
Even when the team turned its back on him and announced it wouldn't renew Lian En's contract,
this person raged so hard that the team's PR department had to post a statement against online harassment and abuse in the middle of the night.
Faced with this double-standard mad dog who gave him full support while going on the attack against everyone else,
Lian En could only remark: They're a good person, but their tongue is a little sharp.
As it turned out, they weren't the only person in the world with such a vicious tongue.
Lux Clemens.
A rising star making waves in the paddock, the only son of the CEO of Clemens Industries, and Lian En's new teammate after his return to racing.
Lux is blond and blue-eyed, broad-shouldered and narrow-waisted. He has a fortune worth billions and the striking, meticulously sculpted good looks of a man of German heritage.
But this pampered rich kid has the temper of a rabid dog and the fuse of a bomb. He's not only volatile, he only ever blows up at Lian En.
On the track, he races wheel to wheel with him. Off the track, he keeps bumping shoulders with him. They compete during training, pick at each other in meetings, and even try to outdo each other at selling their steamy fanservice, each making it look more sincere and heartfelt than the other.
Faced with this double-standard mad dog who's easygoing with everyone else but goes on the attack against him,
Lian En could only think: That's a good-looking face, but there's something wrong with the person attached to it.
In the lounge.
"That line is so conservative. What is this, an old man's bus? What are you afraid of, "
When that magnetic voice, thick with a German accent, taunted him again, Lian En finally lost patience and pinned his teammate, who stood half a head taller, against the wall.
"Show some respect, kid. Keep your road rage off the track."
He grabbed Lux by the collar and warned him in a low voice.
"You want to teach me how to drive? When I won the WDC, you were still racing karts."
"Want to bet?" Lian En sneered. "Suzuka pole is mine, too."
His teammate, who was always making outrageous remarks, fell oddly silent this time.
In the silence, Lian En looked up and saw that the defiant face was now pressed into a tight-lipped expression. A blush spread from his ears all the way down his neck.
Lian En: ? Why are you blushing?
Lux said nothing. He just gave Lian En an incredibly enthusiastic bear hug, then left cheerfully without offering a single explanation.
Lian En: ???
The startled three-time champion immediately opened a search engine to find out whether Germans were unable to tell a line of affection from a threat.
Right then, a notification popped up on his screen.
A user you follow has posted a new tweet:
88_akn7 (now pinned against the wall by the person himself): You can always believe in Lian En Lin... The three-year term is over, and the paddock's strictest dad is back!!! (btw, his face is really, really, really good-looking) [screaming] [cheering] [laughing]
Lian En: ...?
Why do I have a bad feeling about this?
[Outwardly detached, inwardly wild, mixed-race genius racing beauty bottom x Double-standard rabid dog top who bites even himself when he goes wild]
