A Wasteland Courier's Guide to Saving the World

A meteorite falls, mutations run rampant, and humanity's habitable zones shrink, sending people tumbling from the top of the food chain. From then on, the rules are rewritten and all kinds of organizations emerge: The ever-migrating oasis, “The Migrants”; the war-crazed who ignore all rules, “The Warhorses”; the human beacon holding the line, “First Base”… And the neutral transport network, “The Post Stations,” made up of couriers who carry supplies across radiation zones. Ning Yu is a wasteland courier with the Post Stations. Recently, he's begun to realize that this world seems to be fucking doomed. It starts when he gets a delivery job. The pay is good, the work is easy, and the destination is in the outer ring of a relatively low-risk radiation zone. But once he sets out, one strange incident after another unfolds Radiation zones expanding at an accelerated rate, fellow couriers dying gruesome deaths, humanoid high-risk mutants appearing in low-risk zones, powerful men with supernatural abilities… And, at a life-or-death moment, the power he awakens, one that absolutely cannot belong to a human: a Word of Command. All the strange events indicate that the warm water pot holding the world is almost at boiling point. The violent undercurrents hidden beneath the wasteland are gradually revealing the tip of the iceberg. And he, the one with the Word of Command, happens to be the final key to stopping this calamity. The radiation zones expand at breakneck speed. A tide of mutated beasts rolls over the last untouched land, launching a final assault on the surviving humans. The voice in his mind offers an immensely tempting deal: “You will eventually become one of us.” Ning Yu points at his watch. “Are you done? I'm going to be late with my delivery.” “?” Ning Yu says solemnly, “Delivering on time is an essential virtue for a courier. If there's an obstacle, deal with it. Haters are always like this, making things up with nothing but their mouths [cute] Even when the team dumps him after he'd helped them win everything and announces it won't renew his contract, this person flames them so badly that the team's PR department posts a statement against online abuse in the middle of the night. Faced with this rabid hypocrite, who supports him wholeheartedly but goes hard on everyone else, Leon can only marvel: Seems like a good person, though his mouth is a little vicious. But as it turns out, there's someone else in the world with a tongue this sharp. Luke Clemens. A brilliant rising star at the peak of his career, the only son of the president of Clemens Industries, and Leon's new teammate at his new team after his return. Luke is blond and blue-eyed, broad-shouldered and slim-waisted. On top of being worth billions, he has a strikingly handsome face, exquisitely sculpted by his German heritage. But this pampered rich kid has the temper of a bomb. He's not only short-fused and explosive, he fucking blows up at Leon and no one else. They go wheel-to-wheel on the track and shoulder-to-shoulder off it. They compete during training, pick at each other in meetings, and even try to outdo each other when playing up their fake romance for publicity, each insisting his own performance is more sincere and passionate. Faced with this rabid hypocrite, who's easygoing with everyone else but goes hard on him, Leon can only think: Great face, but something's wrong with the guy. In the driver's lounge. “With a line that conservative, are you driving a bus for old people? What are you afraid of, ” When that deep voice, thick with a German accent, taunts him again, Leon finally loses his patience and pins his teammate, who is half a head taller, against the wall. “Show some respect, kid. Don't bring your road rage off the track.” He grabs Luke by the collar and warns him in a low voice. “Want to teach me how to drive? When I won the WDC, you were still driving karts.” “Want to bet?” Leon sneers. “I'll be the one taking pole at Suzuka, too.” But this time, his usually boastful teammate falls strangely silent. In the quiet, Leon looks up and sees the defiant face with its lips pressed tight. A blush spreads from his ears all the way down his neck. Leon: ? Why are you blushing? Luke says nothing. He just gives him an incredibly excited bear hug, then walks off cheerfully without offering a single explanation. Leon: ??? The shaken three-time champion hurriedly opens a search engine to find out whether Germans can't tell the difference between flirtation and threats. Just then, a notification pops up on screen. Someone you follow posted: 88_akn7 (after being pinned against a wall by the account owner): You can always believe in Leon Lin… The three-year hiatus is over. The paddock's strictest dad is back!!!
