Slowly, Slowly series, Book One. Complete. I'll revise it when I have time, so feel free to point out errors.
The series is planned as three books. All are GB, set in the same world but readable on their own.
A controlling woman with a snake's face and Buddha's heart × a sensitive, insecure, delicate man.
The following is the actual blurb:
He Ye is intersex. He accidentally discovers that he's an illegitimate child.
His world falls apart, and all he can do is work hard enough to earn a recommendation for a master's program.
He thinks his life is finally going to get better,
but his father imprisons him and sends his other son to take his place at school.
Four years pass. He Ye feels that being alive is worse than being dead.
But then Sheng Chunlin appears.
A City's brightest new business star, the most closely watched heir to the Changsheng Group,
Sheng Chunlin,
actually gives him a business card!
Suddenly, He Ye feels that being alive is pretty good after all.
His father wants to sell him to an old man as a kept lover.
He Ye thinks of Sheng Chunlin.
Sheng Chunlin quickly agrees to help him. She's such a good person.
Wait, why has he still ended up living in the old man's house?!
Sheng Chunlin says that if he doesn't pursue her, they'll never be able to see each other again.
But He Ye knows he isn't worthy of her and doesn't want to become a burden.
Then maybe he shouldn't pursue her...
Has he really given up?
“My child will be glad she came into this world. She's my child, Sheng Chunlin's.”
Sheng Chunlin says she wants him to have a child for her.
How could that be possible!
All he has to do is give birth, and Sheng Chunlin will give him anything he wants.
Can he ask for love, too?
The baby is born.
He proposes to Sheng Chunlin, and she accepts.
The handsome man he'd met that day invites him to dinner, claiming to be Sheng Chunlin's fiance.
So Sheng Chunlin has a fiance...
Then what does that make him? He Ye can't understand. He wants to leave, so let him keep one last memory of her.
Sheng Chunlin is still as kind as ever. She respects his choice and lets him go.
She promises not to interfere in his life again, and even gives him money to study abroad.
But why does he find himself in tears whenever he thinks about it?
Content warnings:
1) A healing story, with a slightly male-centered perspective, though the female lead gets the spotlight. A bittersweet, self-indulgent story. (Please don't give the author suggestions; it's very rude.)
2) The male lead is intersex and has female reproductive anatomy and physiology (intersex does not mean male; this detail is only here to help readers understand the setting).
3) Happy ending. The female lead has no prior sexual experience with men; she has normal female anatomy and had a fiance before. She is not a reformed playboy.
4) The male lead falls for the female lead first and openly loves her, willing to sacrifice himself. The woman pampers the man.
5) There is a section involving a wife deceived into a sham marriage and same-sex content. The intent is to criticize these things.
Theme: People struggling against oppression and hardship also deserve choice and dignity.
Is it the heroine's brother? I forgot his name.
Does the male protagonist have women's breasts? Don't you have to wear a bra?
The character design is quite new, I hope it won't be too sad 🙏
Why is the next chapter being reviewed? The review is too mg (gnashing teeth JPG)
Why does every chapter need to be reviewed?
