In 2566, the apocalypse arrived. Zombies surrounded the city, and supplies ran low.
His name was Jiang Sang. He was sixteen and had been bitten by a zombie. As his consciousness faded, he was still wondering if his name was bad luck: Sang Sang had turned into a zombie.
The World Bureau established a command center for epidemic prevention and control and organized international rescue efforts. Cheng Zhiyou was appointed the highest-ranking officer, tasked with clearing all the zombies from the city and escorting the surviving human refugees to their new home.
While Cheng Zhiyou and his best friend were searching for refugees, they spotted a little zombie sneaking bites of a farmer's chicks.
Cheng Zhiyou watched for a moment, then raised his gun to shoot it.
The little zombie suddenly noticed him and clutched his head, begging for mercy: "H-Help..." 😱
Cheng Zhiyou nearly fired by accident. Could zombies still talk?
The zombie had a few gray cracks on his face, but none on his body. His pupils were dull and pale, and he was very fair and pretty. When Cheng Zhiyou touched him, he was still soft. He'd been infected with the zombie virus, but somehow hadn't completely died?
After that, a little zombie joined Cheng Zhiyou's journey. When Cheng Zhiyou glanced at the student ID on him, he saw the boy had been bitten at just sixteen. He decided to take him to the research institute and see if they could save him.
The little zombie wanted roast chicken every day. His teeth were so itchy.
Cheng Zhiyou always pulled out some incredibly tough beef jerky and stuffed it in his mouth.
Each piece of jerky was bigger than his hand, enough to chew on for two days. 😋
The little zombie could dig up potatoes, carrots, and cabbages by himself. His favorite food was barbecue, and he thought anything could be grilled. Every day, the moment he opened his eyes, he would ask, "Is it time to eat?"
This little zombie was picky. He ate meat, but not raw. It had to be cooked. Other zombies bit everyone they saw.
After Jiang Sang turned into a zombie, he started stuttering. Every time they ate, it went like this.
Little zombie: "E-E-Eat..."
Cheng Zhiyou frowned and stuffed his mouth full of roasted chicken.
Little zombie: "I-I can't eat anymore..."
Cheng Zhiyou: "..." How do you cure a zombie's stutter?

Here's a preview of my next cute and sweet novel, hehe! Please add it to your favorites!
An abandoned little purple parrot searched for bugs to eat in the forest every day. Then one day, a wild boar chased it, and it flapped its wings in panic as it fled.
"Chirp, chirp, chirp! Can someone save me?"
As it fled in blind panic, it suddenly crashed into a boy's arms. The boy gently scooped it up.
A bodyguard hurried over. "Young master, are you all right?"
But the boy looked at the tiny purple fluff in his palm, his eyes lighting up. "What a cute little chick."
The parrot wriggled angrily in his hand. I'm not a chick! I'm a beautiful purple Isa bird!
But all it could say was "chirp, chirp, chirp."
And so the little parrot was taken home by the boy. There was a villa several hundred square meters in size, a courtyard spanning tens of thousands of square meters, and more than a dozen servants and a butler. The little parrot was stunned. It had met one of those legendary rich people.
"My name is Jiang Yancheng. Can you talk?" The sixteen-year-old boy poked its soft little cheek. Its pink feathers were so fine and fluffy.
"Chirp!" The little parrot pecked him. It could only speak through its thoughts.
Jiang Yancheng looked at the hand it had lightly pecked. "So you're an evil little chick."
And so, the boy and the bird kept each other company for ten years.
Ten years later, Jiang Yancheng was twenty-six, a promising business-world elite worth over a hundred million. At a banquet, a socialite confessed her feelings for him, but he merely shook his head politely. "Sorry, I have a condition."
The girl was taken aback. "What condition?"
Jiang Yancheng said calmly, "I don't like people. I only like parrots."
He had already decided to spend his life with the little "chick" he'd raised.
The bodyguards behind him exchanged baffled looks. You can turn someone down like that?
When he got home, the little purple parrot was flapping its wings and swaying in front of a phone screen. Jiang Yancheng realized that it loved dancing. He happened to record a few videos and uploaded them online. To his surprise, the parrot became an internet celebrity.
The parrot discovered how many people liked watching it dance and started shaking even more enthusiastically.
Jiang Yancheng laughed and turned off the phone. "All right, no more dancing today."
"Chirp, chirp, chirp!" The parrot protested and flew at him, but the collision was so powerful that it knocked Jiang Yancheng to the ground.
The back of Jiang Yancheng's head hurt, and his vision blurred. When he opened his eyes again, there was a beautiful purple-haired boy in his arms.
The boy blinked his sparkling eyes and cried happily, "Daddy! I turned into a human!"
Jiang Yancheng froze. "...???"
From then on, he had a dancing boy as his "bird."
