Mu Yan was kidnapped by the System. It demanded that she play cannon fodder in various worlds, follow the cannon-fodder plotlines, rewrite her tragic endings, and earn the achievement of living to a ripe old age!
Mu Yan didn't actually want to do the missions, but the System's punishment was electric shocks! For someone who was afraid of pain, that was the end of the world! So she tried hard to complete the missions. But why was everything going completely differently from what she'd expected?
In the first world, Mu Yan was the fake daughter of the Prime Minister's household. In theory, all she had to do was act out various vicious schemes and reach the end of the plot.
But the second System task specifically required her to live to a ripe old age!
A vicious supporting woman's ending was always a gruesome death. How was she supposed to live to a ripe old age???
Besides, as a proper socialist successor, how could she possibly do anything so evil?? Luckily, the System said all she had to do was stay in character at the plot's key moments!
And so began her daily role-playing routine.
But why was the man she killed in the original story now clinging to her and refusing to let go? And you, whoever you are, you weren't even in the plot! Why are you following me too???
She'd thought that if the plot went off the rails, she'd be punished. But to her surprise, the System's punishment didn't work on her at all!!!
Fantastic!
Unable to erase her or sever the connection, the System could only angrily seal away all of Mu Yan's memories and take her to the next world.
But could someone please explain why this Host was so abnormal??? It was one thing for her to derail the plot in every world, but the System couldn't even punish her. Oh, Overmind, why make things so hard for a newborn System like me?
After visiting more and more worlds, the System gradually realized that its Host might not be human!
And not just the Host. The man who was always following her might not be human either!
Before, the System could seal her memories and trick the Host a little. But after discovering that the Host wasn't human, it didn't dare seal away Mu Yan's memories again. All it could do was watch its own success rate for one impossible mission after another and weep pitifully.
